If I am able to I have zero idea how to do it. I’ve tried to do it from both the post and the profile of the user of concern and the only options I have in the post are to “report” / “share” and in the profile I can only “+” or DM.

I actually don't know myself - some users (like Mods) cannot be ignored for example. Can anyone who has ignored someone advise where this setting is?

In a thread, hovering over the username pops up a floating infocard, with a "ignore" button. No idea if it's available on mobile.

Aha! I haven’t tried on desktop. I mostly only use the mobile board. I’ll have a look on desktop… then maybe I’ll finally be able to block you, @Joyrex!!

You got me. Yes, I’m trying to hide you because you don’t like “the thing”, even though it’s not particularly a movie I’m a fan of either. It’s a perfectly good movie, I just was late to the party seeing it so it doesn’t exactly blow my doors open. But yeah dude, you’re gone.

“My user icon > account” > “ignored users” > “Add new user to ignore list“

Mostly because that's a feature the message board software would have to implement, and so far in my research on their customer forums, they're not budging on it.

In the "new and upcoming releases" forum, the thread previews often have a cheeky plug inserted for "We Are The Music Makers | Volume One" that isn't actually part of the thread text. I think it appears if there's a bandcamp link in the thread? Is this a deliberate easter egg to plug that compilation from 20 years ago or is this a strange thread preview bug?

Fixed (finally)  - not a plug, but a side effect of me creating the custom Bandcamp embed button. See thread in Music Discussion about it

Can't see a specific way to prevent certain embeds. I might be able to do it via word filter, but there's a greater item to discuss...

papa joyrex this is the coolest and most awesome community on the internet...we've been chilling on a unique and really specific vibe for 25 years and there are so many active ppl here who stay for that alone. we're all sensible and well-rounded individuals who know how to discuss heavy subjects without losing their shit like people do on reddit, twitter and everywhere else, i swear this is the only corner of the internet where i can have a sane discussion. this forum is a part of Syro and rdj's decision to "kick into gear" following our kickstarted campaign, and in turn followed by our avid following, sharing and discussing legendary live recordings like THE MANCHESTER TRACK and THE METZ TRACK. those tracks became legendary thanks to us and they became the foundation of the tracklist on Syro, leading to a flurry of albums and EPs. no other community could show that dedication to electronic music.

there must be another way? please take some time to think about this. i love you man when i was 14 you gave me super high-quality snippets of rare rdj tunes and basically got me into aphex and the broader scope of WARP/SKAM/REPHLEX artists. at age 32 i can honestly say this community is a part of my life...i check this place once a day, i've been active all this time and i still haven't read the site rules...

A lot of places just go dark with no warning. You've got to give @Joyrex a ton of credit for dealing with WATMM for so long and for also giving us some warning.

Obviously you can do whatever you want but surely consider handing it over to someone willing
