reposting, because apparently i am the one to educate people about this (unfortunate that basically no one knows the following - incidentally, you would if you followed "the media"):

jan 6 was one component of trump's coup attempt. it had 6 major components. the jan 6 component was him sending the mob to the capitol, having reason to anticipate a violent storming of the capitol during the joint session of congress. he then refused to call them off for 3 hours though he did tweet that pence did the wrong thing while pence was hiding with his secret service in the capitol. Trump tweeted at 2:24 p.m.: “Mike Pence didn’t have the courage to do what should have been done.” objectives included:

• pressuring congress members to vote against certifying the votes of some states. that's what congress was doing that afternoon, voting to certify each state, and some trumpists in each house of congress tried to act like some states shouldn't be certified but not as many as trump wanted for his plan. trump was calling congress members while the capitol was being stormed, lobbying them to vote against certifying some states.  
• cause the capitol to be evacuated and the certification to be delayed, with 14 days left until inauguration day, and trump contesting the election with some congress members backing him up.
• pressure pence to do what trump was asking of him, to not count slates of electors from some states, throwing the decision to the house of representatives, for a vote by delegation, by which trump would be expected to win.
• delay the certification by some other effect of the storming, such as the slates of electors being stolen or something else. 

so, the pence pressure part was another component of the plan. trump had devised a plan along with attorney john eastman, to pressure pence to refuse to certify the slates of electors from some states on january 6th. check out the eastman memos. trump was continually pressuring pence about this very emphatically, as reported by many people who witnessed trump putting extreme pressure on pence to go along with the plan. pence actually published a public letter to trump early in the morning of january 6th laying out his reasoning for why he would refuse to go along with trump's plan

another component was trump spreading the lies, which he knew were junk. the special counsel documents linked below describe extensive evidence of this.

another component was trump threatening georgia secretary of state with prosecution by doj if he didn't find him 11,000 votes. here's the link to that phone call

another component was trying to use doj to send letters to states saying their election results were tainted, encouraging them to have their legislatures reconsider how they cast their slates of electors. see the jeff clark letter

another component was orchestrating fake slates of electors being sent to congress, which falsely said trump won the states. multiple states also considered this activity to be crimes and have pressed charges. giuliani was orchestrating it. several of these false slates of electors looked the same because they were based on the same document template. giuliani was orchestrating that across seven states

those are the 6 big pieces of trump's coup attempt.

I watched a bit. Not particularly interesting stuff but she can clearly answer questions and put herself across. Total softball interview but I'm not sure what your problem is.

Compare it with Trump - never answering questions, rambling, constant lies and sometimes just making absolutely No. Fucking. Sense. Underneath it all he's constantly returning to his favourite subjects, really nasty, hateful shit, a toxic mix of lies and xenophobia.

If hating that stuff that makes me 'part of the circlejerk' then so be it.

That is cool, how much of the Joe Rogan interview did you watch with Trump?  I'm guaging you watched none of it.   Don't care either way.  You talk about 'Hateful Shit'>?  How about equating Trump with Hitler?   2 Assasination attempts in the last few months, so..................?  Just keep pushing the ante, till losers like #Maybe Rude# decide they've lost their minds and want to kill someone............

the people who took shots at him were registered republicans. trump has spewed hate daily since he came down the escalator in 2014 or whatever..  he sucks. has called war veterans and war dead suckers. and yeah. .he's praised hitler, says he wants to be an authoritarian and that hitler did "some good things too" and all the white power nazi people love him.. so, maybe he's not hitler but they sure think he is or wants to be. 

get our of your news silo and look around at more than fox news or wherever you're getting the narratives. kamala has her faults and i don't think there's tons of people 'over the moon' w/enthusiasm to vote for her but she's far superior to trump in every way. trump will basically wage war on americans and people he feels wronged him or weren't loyal etc.. 

and yeah.. of course we should have better options and not be locked up in this 2 party bullshit but none of that is going to change any time soon.. though there are lot's of local elections w/3rd party candidates who win and get re-elected. 

there's just no equivalence in the rhetoric from trump campaign and any left/independent/democrat campaign. sure.. all kinds of random people on the left say things.. but this is different than coming directly from the candidates mouth as it does w/trump. 

i watched some of the joe rogan interview and trump didn't look good even though it was soft ball questions.. and rogan laughed at him and kept asking the same question over and over again and trump just rambled.. it was two guys just shitting in each other's ears for 3 fucking hours. trump has no details on anything.. just vague 'concepts of a plans' and the promise to deport people, put tarifs on chinese goods.. which essentially is an import tax paid by the american businesses who would buy chinese goods.. not something that chinese companies pay.. but people don't get told that part of it.. 

anyway.. none of what you're saying about these candidates has basis in reality of what is actually happening.

the thing is it's random people comparing him to hitler, usually, and other people saying he has serious authoritarian dreams. some of the people who compared him to hitler are his former cabinet members. but trump has said himself "hitler did some good things too" and also "i need the kind of generals hitler had".  so, the call is coming from inside the house my dude.
