Absolutely correct,  the same people will be crying like babies . (and also, in the end, lockdown will last 3 months...)

And I wasn't joking about France going for the number one spot.

:catcry:

Hélas I tend to agree with you. Like, a lot. Like, 100%.

Re: pollution etc, there are quite a lot good things happening due to this pandemic also, which makes me feel somehow better about it. Especially if comparing this to 9/11 when it was that I knew everything is going to be worse from now on. When I saw the planes hit the towers the first thing that came to my mind was "there's going to be a war and a lot of people are going to die".

9/11 I remember, got out of school in the afternoon, smoked a spliff with my friends, got back to my parents house, turned on my TV  then asked myself "What the fuck is Patrick Poivre d'Arvor doing in Die Hard 3 ?"

good.

went for a walk yesterday afternoon and saw a large amount of people having picnics, playing frisbee, riding bikes and just hanging out with family, it wasn’t even a very nice day, it rained a bit even. but just them out not working or having anything to do except enjoy life and relax with family. gave me a sorta utopian, vaguely Star Trek society type of vibe. was nice. idyllic.

maybe all this will give the world some perspective.

maybe the billionaires will empty their pockets into the streets and Wall Street will close shop.

or maybe not.

I'm a caretaker for a small public park, and there have been a TON of people coming here to hang out this week. Enough at a time that it probably isn't that safe, tbh... and I've been watching in horror as person after person walk in and out of the porta-john, often immediately touching their phone or face when they get out. :wtf:

How do you deal with this? Any advice?

slowly, quietly plotting the decimation of the entire planet’s industries and wealth systems um usually just write some music and drink some beer. used to enjoy sexing and socializing a lot to help but nowadays not so much. you’re young so I’d advise my old ways, while you can. there’ll be time for being a sad old man later.

saw Reuters reporting this earlier, though it’s one relatively quick study, seemed from reputable scientists. the air-borne aspect of it is particularly bad yeah. all bad though.

Thank you, but as socialising isn't advised these days, I will try the decimation of industries thing for a bit I guess

lol @ equatorial guinea. makes me thing of those tribes out in the jungle, rockin' loincloths, shooting arrows at planes. those guys have no clue about corona. maybe eventually there'll be a corona that does wipe all us civilized folks out, and it will be just the tribes left in the jungle. the planet will be just like 10,000 BC again.

well how about call it "dem virus" or just a simple "fake virus" should do. I mean look at where it's hitting hardest - Washington, Cali, NY - all dem states. this clearly isn't a republican problem, it's a dem problem.
