Bummer. A good reminder for everyone to go to Store › Manage Purchases › Manage to uncheck auto-renewal.

And also cancel any active subscriptions within PayPal itself aswell.

PayPal subscriptions can’t be cancelled like that, unless things have changed since the last time I had to deal with them at a previous employer. 
 

They’re a huge pain in the arse. 

So he would have had to do a little work and chat with PayPal? Still don't see how it's not a dick move

EDIT: Btw for end users: it's Settings > Payments > Automatic Payments
