Honestly though, as far as discussion forum goes with that web 1.0 tight-knit community feel, the Something Awful forums are probably the last bastion of it's kind that I'm aware of (except maybe ArsTechnica if their forums are still running). The 'No Music Discussion' and the 'Rapidly Going Deaf' subforms would be a great fit for any refugees from this forum, especially the latter in terms of general chillness and banter etc, it's $10 bucks to register, but worth it imho (been there 20 years now lmao).  The site changed management a few years ago and the new owner is like crypto rich and so it doesn't sound like there's any plans for it to go anywhere anytime soon. Just a thought.

Thanks, I didn't know sa was still going, thats an interesting thought.

About a million pages back (which no one is going to go and read, lets face it) we hatched a plan to start a new forum, called keyosc, we hope it will be a good place to keep up with new releases and general nonsense, hope you and lots of others pop by and make the place as long lived as this was.

lel I don't know what's happening but the collapse of WATMM is kind of an interesting sociological event

i actually briefly considered inviting the forum at large to SA shortly after the watmm closing announcement but i've never posted or read the music forums there and i didnt think anyone would go for it anyway so i didnt

Anyone have any former wattmers on speed dial? Over the years I know at least a few have left after butting heads with big-papa-J. Would be fun to see people re-emerge in Keyosc. May be wishful thinking 

I hope someone has preserved the @YEK gif. There are at least one or two eternal members in that thing.

most of them left because they where not willing to pay for a subscription which resulted in them not being able to post here. I think that changed after a while but it sure was like this for quite some time  

There's also the nazis who left due to all the anti-Trump sentiment after the 2016 US presidential election but do you really want them back?
