From my experience, the "WATMM" abbreviation was already a whole thing, I always thought the AFX reference was kind of secondary. It was an impactful, recognisable name. I think keyosc has a similar vibe.

I also really enjoy second bad forum, the SBF abbreviation is nice as well.

although if keyosc wins but theres a large proportion of watmmers who dont know what it means (like i didnt) that would kindof be a shame

I wasn't keen on keyosc but the way you've explained this makes it seem a lot better.

my contributions were worthless but still none of the ones mentioned really resonate with me... I like keyosc and ekt for the obvious reasons... 

keyosc is smart, aesthetically pleasing, has an electronic music technical meaning (key oscillator) and the word kiosk itself relates a lot with how an online forum works (journals), everything makes sense... and it's cool that it's also an inside joke for most of you, although I didn't know that until it was mentioned in the other thread...

ekt is like, well, ekt... everybody here knows what it stands for, it's already the name of a subforum we already have (very important to this community, I must have posted exclusively there during my first 2 or 3 watmm years and only after that I migrated to general banter), it's also catchy to pronounce and clean and neat to look at... 

still, I can't help but think that there's something better, more suitable, out there...
