best first post ever

agreed

what he said

also, regarding the majority of the reactions in this thread, it appears to me that squarepusher could not have taken a better direction with his music

so is this lp that bad ?

It's an excellent record. Don't see how anyone could think it wasn't Squarepusher...

i believe you

be nice to be hooked up with it

So far, it's become typical Squarepusher for me: 2-3 songs I really like and the rest are forgettable. For those keeping score, they are:

Track 1 - Hello Meow (can't help but make cat sounds whilst listening to this)

Track 4 - Planetarium (love that fucking bassline and synths... great melody)

Track 9 - Welcome To Europe (sort of falls in place with the other two tracks)

Theme From Sprite (track 2) is nice, sort of a Luke Vibert-ish groove in a way... the rest is noodly experimentation by Tom, IMO. Overall worth it for the aforementioned tracks alone, and there's always the prospect of the two other tracks available as digital downloads that might be memorable as well.

I like the album

but i want to say 1 thing about Vacuum Garden:

i haven't heard this much lazy empty useless emotionless ambient filler since Tool's Viginti Tres.

Dear lord, i really do hope this track isn't for real ... but i geuss i shouldn't hope too much

Gotta disagree. I really like Vacuum Garden, and it evokes some interesting emotions for me. Very haunting, something supernatural about it. Same with Viginti Tres, though I don't care much for that album overall.

The last track on Hello Everything is the one I could do without, but it's easy enough to hit stop. I'm glad he didn't stick it in the middle.

Circlewave 2 is quite enjoyable. In fact, everything up to Cronecker King is really fun and nice and whatever. It kind of runs out of steam at that point.

edit: yeah, if he had just left out Rotate Electrolyte, Welcome to Europe and Plotinus, this album would have been much better.

this time i ain't downloading any fucking lameass leaks from my favourite artists (hello everything/body riddle). getting tired of it, spoils the excitement of getting the actual vinyl & cd in the mail

i guess nobody cares about that anymore. blah

just because someone didn't spent 5 years on something doesn't mean it's bad

Huh?

Did i say somewhere that i dont like ambient? If that's true, i would't have all these Biosphere and William Basinski cd's ...

So yeah, ambient rules! But man, i just really really don't like those two tracks ... they dont do anything for me at all.

And what the hell are you talking about with that 5 year thing? Where have i said something about the timespan spend on making songs? Like i give a shizzle.

Just relax dude

<3

biosphere rules btw

that got a whole fucking subforum. this is nothing in comparison. and yet, paradoxically, this is the better album imo.

still no go plastic or big loada, though.

I'm wondering what is the basis of your comparison?

Probably something very subjective.

I don't understanad the point of saying that. What's the use?

Everyone forms it's own opinions and they all differ. Period.

Don't think that I dislike Go!Plastic or Big Loada..

I'm just saying that it is as important as saying "My mom makes

best cookies" or "My dad's car is the fastest car in the world".

They all good.
