Dunno, but this guy seems to do a lot of Warp releases.

Well I love the way he mastered both Autechre releases on there.

I noticed Ultravisitor isn't included on the list which might explain some of the weirdness about some of the mixes on there.

Yep, it definitely has that live ambience, + the crowd noises. i'm sure without a doubt that's what he was going for whether he said it or not. I'm not really referring to that aspect of it when I say "weirdness". But I guess if he was going for a rough live feel, fair enough. I wonder if it was even mastered in that case.

i am waiting for release, when i shall purchase it on vinyl - i have heard 2 tracks on warp.com and 1 leak (hello meow)

a weed dealer of mine dl'd hello everything the other day and stuck it on in front of me...he proceded to play about 15 seconds of each track (skipping thru winamp to a third and two thirds of the way thru each track for 5 seconds a time) then after doing this on every track he said something along the lines of "yes mate - this is fucking wicked"

he had actually formed his opinion of a whole album based on hearing approxiamately 2 minutes of compressed tinny crap on pc speakers and then filed it in his bloated music folder

i wonder how many of you electronic music kids do this

what happened to buying vinyl / cd on release date and LISTENING to the music that appeals to your taste instaed of feverishly collecting 40,000 piss poor mp3s that you don't have enough time in your whole life to actually LISTEN to.

The release of an album should see 16 pages of debate on whether it's GOOD, not whether it's REAL

WOW, that post had the most sweeping generalisations Ive ever read in one post. Give us a little credit would you.

True, there are people who'll judge an album on a couple seconds of one tune. But I'd like to think that the majority of the forum are slightly more inteligent than that.

The comment about amassing a million MP3's is total rubbish. I can only speak for myself but I buy all my CD's. I'll listen to a couple MP3's off and album, and if I like it, then i'll buy the CD and get rid of the MP3's It's partly from practicing what I preach. If ever get to release albums, Id want people to buy them, therefore I should buy CD's. Its also out of simply prefering to have something real which I can touch and look at the artwork etc.

Its also pretty daft to accuse members of this forum of owning piss poor mp'3. Considering the featured artists, Id suggest that the members on this forum have particularly good tastes. Regardless, I cant see what the problem is over people wanting to own lots of music. Its not as if people simply go onto the internet and just downloading the first thing they come across, I normally look for artist that I'm into and check out what theyre new stuff is like, as is the case here. Or I'll go on recomendations from friends. Come on. Its not like people go "oh, I'm into folk muisic, let download some Gabber" Everybody listens to the music they like, and consequently downloads the music they like.

I'll agree, the internet can suck, but thats simply due to the nature of it. Its not as thought your gonna get along with everybody on your local high street or agree with everything that they do.

I personaly really hate totaly off topic posts in forums, so I should really stop writing and hope that this thread returns to what it should be about. I only posted because your post really sraped my nerves. Apologies to everyone.

ultravisitor took me 10 months to truely appreciate, im getting there with go plastic after 6 months, hard normal daddy is still a bit beyond me, and i cant see that this will be any different, its like getting into shoenburgs music, it can take 1000 listens before the piece of music makes an likeable sense.

talking about this mastering thing... we're talking about an artist who gave us this totally unlistenable second CD on DYKSQ?
