Trent has been toying with the idea for some time, but now that he has the exposure he needs... its time to push his music to the next level. Have any of you actually payed attention to some of his wonderful vocal stylings? It can be heard all through out The Downward Spiral.. some on Pretty Hate Machine. Maybe not so much on the Fragile (grandma died :/ ), and on With Teeth, it rears its beautiful head on a few of the tracks. Yes, i am refering to Sassy Trent. His next record will sound like a Christina Aguilera LP. He actually has her on a few of the tracks. I always imagined he shook his jazzy little finger around when he sang, now this new record will just prove it. You go girl!

after still, i really really really wanted him to go in that direction and nix the vocals, but he's not THAT bad of a singer or songwriter.... he just needs some help..... encouragement........ i don't know.

i met him once at, of all places E3 video game conference. I told him how much of a fan he was and how because of him i got into artists like aphex twin and coil. He just gave me this dirty-ass look like he thought i was the most annoying fan ever. He looked extremely upset that i recognized him.

yeah Trent's record label- nothing released Drum n Baas for papa so I'd give him props for that, little else though. Sonic youth expressed my angst much better.

anyway, agreed with what ghostbusters was saying. the remixes off of with teeth are FUCKING PATHETIC. they are SOO FUCKING SHIT. what happened to eps like the closer to god single . . . 9 tracks of some of the best fucking remixes around for five bucks. fixed and further down the spiral were brilliant too.

yeah even the closer to god and march of the pigs singles were excellent. Didnt Nothing do Warp's american distro for a long while before Warp did it themselves? I recall LP5 by Autechre being on Nothing. I also have a fuzzy memory of a possible squarepusher album on nothing.

ghostbusters - yeah big loada had a nothing release. nothing was warp's distro for like a year or something

alexpallas - yeah coil is hit and miss. i need to revisit them though i think i'd like them a lot better now than i did way back then.
