In the sky and in the eye and

In the sky and in the eye and..

If you want to touch the sky

Just put a window in your eye

See the sun and

See the rain

See the window

See the pain

See the sun and

See the rain

See the birds eye

See the brain

Ancient cities

Rise again

See microscopic

See world view

See the future

Leaking through

See the person

Who once was you

See the seashore and

See the sand

See the windows

In your hand

See the Lie.

Gold is the sky

In concentrate

Power in its purest state

Power surge

Power will rise

Through the windows and

Through the skies

Misrule is kind.

See the sky and

See the eye and

See the sky and

In your hand in the sky

And in your eye

See the sky in your hand

See the sky and understand

Gold is the sky

In concentrate

Power in its purest state

Power will rise

Power will fly

Through the window

Through your eye

Gold is the sky

Riches, treasures, riches

Richard's treasures

Riches, treasures, riches

Gold is the sky

In concentrate

Power in its purest state

Power will rise

Power will fly

Through the window and

Through your eye

Gold is the sky

Trent Reznor has been a huge influence on me as far as production goes. And I had one song which was undeniably NIN influenced in the music department as well.

PS: it took me a moment to realize those Empty Shell lyrics were a joke. Sounds pretty plausible as new NIN lyrics, sad to say. The description of the song has got me kind of excited however. If the lyrics are indeed indecipherable, I can just focus on all the ear candy sweetness.

[mcgriff:]

A moon-piece to fetch up the golden cup

A snow-piece to avoid the great heat of the sun

Is kept in the night and by the light of the moon

An ice-piece so as they seem forever fallen

A night-piece of the dismal supper and strange entertainment

A rare chance-piece, a handsome piece of deformity

The skin of a snake bred out of the spinal marrow of a man

With stones and illegible inscriptions found about great ruins

Pictures of three remarkable steeples, or towers

Built purposely awry, so as they seem eternally tipping and falling

A transcendent perfume made of the richest odorates

Kept in a box of translucent scale

A glass of spirits made of ethereal salt, hermetically sealed up

Kept continually in quicksilver, of so volatile a nature

That it will scarcely endure the light

And therefore only shown in winter

Or by the light of a carbuncle, or a firefly

And batwings

And batwings

And batwings sing this limnal hymn

A wideness opening and closing to keep the darkness sealed within

To keep the darkness sealed within

To keep the darkness sealed within

To keep the darkness sealed within

A moon-piece to fetch up the golden cup

nothing was releasing warp releases for a bit too.

subliminal sandwich was on released on nothing, i give him mega props for that.

anyway, agreed with what ghostbusters was saying. the remixes off of with teeth are FUCKING PATHETIC. they are SOO FUCKING SHIT. what happened to eps like the closer to god single . . . 9 tracks of some of the best fucking remixes around for five bucks. fixed and further down the spiral were brilliant too.

yeah even the closer to god and march of the pigs singles were excellent. Didnt Nothing do Warp's american distro for a long while before Warp did it themselves? I recall LP5 by Autechre being on Nothing. I also have a fuzzy memory of a possible squarepusher album on nothing.

Yes. Budakhan Mindphone, Selection Sixteen, Maximum Priest & Big Loada were released in the US on Nothing. Also, Nothing also released LP5, EP7 and AEs Peel Session, the Plaid Peel Session, Not For Threes, Rest Proof Clockwork AND Plug :Drum 'N Bass For Papa / Plugs 1, 2, & 3.

through the years, a man peoples a space with images of provinces, kingdoms, mountains, bays, ships, islands, fishes, rooms, tools, stars, horses and people. shortly before his death, he discovers that the patient labyrinth of lines traces the image of his own face.

I remember the days when I'd frequent nineinchnailsnews.net every day for new album information. Back then an April 16/17 release date meant it was coming out either 5 months or a year after that date. But he seems to be changing his ways so I'm going to believe that is the actual release date (unless of course this is just some wacky 'n' wild McGriff trickery!) I listened to With Teeth with my new phones a couple days ago because of this thread. I didn't pay any attention to the lyrics this time, but I found the production along with the vocal delivery was pissing me off instead, hehe. The last two tracks still kick ass.

Yeah, the vocal delivery was one thing that really annoyed me about With Teeth, just seemed so silly compared to earlier stuff.

over christmas i went back and listened to my nine inch nails cds. i forgot how good further down the spiral was, and i even like things falling apart a lot. but i listened to with teeth and it still sucks. my flatmate wants me to go with him to see them next month. do you think they'll be playing new material from the upcoming album? i saw them summer 2005 and it was ok, the older tunes were great but didn't really like the new songs obviously.
