now that thats out of the way, is that a backward synth on the first track? i never really thought about it before but did he do the melody and then play it backwards or just make it sound that way?

true, but it seems like he gets slammed a lot more. i seem to not really remember people other than you defending him.

either way, turning dragon has opened up a little more for me lately. i can not wait 20 more days.

Whoever posted that Mary Ann Hobbes mix (can't be arsed to go look back through the thread), thank you. I listened to it on the train ride home tonight and it was fucking fantastic.

lol

I enjoy the fragility of the rolling lol tbh. The broken lol is like our own mortality staring us in the face, reminding us to enjoy that sunset.

I imagined a bearded dragon on a rock getting up, turning 90° to the right and sitting down again. And I thought, Clark, I know "Turning Dragon" sounds incredibly Clark-ish, but I wish you'd go back to names like Shrewland and Diesel Raven. Volcan Veins is a nice sounding title though.

bump, i forgot how awesome it was, for ages.

it's like what clark would play at a proper rave.

this sounds like an airplane landing on a minefield

I still listen to this more any other Clark album. First half definitely better than the second, although Penultimate Persian is storming.

Clark should really give us more of his weird techno side. Love it. Turning dragon is his masterpiece for me.
