I thought I'ld mention this here, it is an electronic music related festival coming up in Melbourne in a few weeks. I've got my ticket for it, I'm particularly interested in seeing Pivot, Mountains in the Sky, and Qua.

k, I'm not going to Summer Tones anymore, something semi important came up, and I've seen most the bands I wanted to see there already, so I've sold my ticket.

Just telling you this incase anyone decded to go and expected me to be there.

Mogwai is in two weeks, modey we have to meet up before the gig and have a few drinks, ;) not sure where would be good on a thursday night in the cbd

argh i totally missed out on summertones because i was (and still am) sick with flu. i didn't get a ticket anyway so that's ok heh.

and i almost forgot that mogwai is this thursday! wonder if i can get away with taking some green stuff. there were heaps of people smoking at NIN the other night!

i'm playing at this next wednesday.

i'm billed as 'bling crosby' (a pseudonym i haven't used for at least 6 years, and even then it was only 3 tracks). also according to the promoter i'm doing a 'breakcore live improv/audience slander' set. dunno where he got that idea from. anyway it's gonna be interesting (right down to me blaring ambient music from a tiny mp3 player while i sit there and look bored). come along anyone, everyone!

See him shed a bit-degraded tear as he plays some old favourites.

The other face of PUBLIC DISGRACE Parties and a known punter/circus acrobat. Nnoize Kkid Ssytem will be DJing some favourite breakcore chawns (Irish pronunciation) and shamelessly plugging his upcoming DRIPPYCORE outdoor party outside Melbourne.

i'm also playing a set with one (or maybe two) of my bandmates this friday at blue velvet (60 smith st, collingwood). we'll be playing as 'ben taylor' (he was going to do a solo show but decided to add me at the last minute).

it's going to be a ripoff/tribute to the fripp&eno album "no pussyfooting" with me on guitar and ben on AKS. unless the other guy from our band joins in as well, in which case it'll be more surfy.

If that Ben Taylor set is anything like those noisey, droney surf tracks you posted a year or so ago then it'll be one to see. Too bad I live on the other side of the world.
