Autechre new autechre - may 19th 2008

I think we can all shut up about the 1 hour 40 minutes thing its CLEARLY 140 mins as stated on all 3 websites for the entire 2 week period. As has been said a good 4-5 times in this thread, they would have corrected a glaring error like that by now.

Plus, people have paid MONEY for 140 mins. If its 1 hour 40 mins that could put bleep in alot of trouble

lastly, they put subrange 6-36 in it's own ep as opposed to the other 3 which were 4 track bundles.

i would be willing to bet a LOT of money that it IS going to be a nice long 50 minute track

Think you may be right. Oh well very impressed with the digital EPs so far. Much better versions than on the album IMO.

Well the track cuts off pretty sharpish by the 4 minute mark so it's probably just an intro.

It's not an intro, it's up on bleep as a flac (not in mp3 yet) you can listen to the preview, it's 4'14....

Hum....; it's written 4'14 next to the track in the flac version, but if you listen to the preview it goes over 4'29, and then it just stops because of the 30 sec bleep thingy....

that is actually so retarded they jipped us out of almost an hour of new material!

i'm sending bleep an email demanding a portion of the money back or a free download or something.

Come on don't be so childish, it's just a stupid mistake ( really stupid mistake) but whatever, 11,50 € for 13 tracks is a good price, and you know that even if you didn't like all of them, you'll end up being happy with this...

go to the preview for the flac on warp and listen past the end by clicking pause/play whenever it pauses. It keeps going i'm at 5:50 now

an hour of reverb and some synthtweaks.... well, things about ae's music have really changed.

i'll be happy if its an hour period, i'll be a little disappointed if it is just this for an hour but even then at least we didnt get 4 mins for the last track.

also can you only get the artwork if you bought the FLACs? if so someone PM me the zip when they get it

Well, I'm at 9 min of preview so far, and it's the same on and on.... But that's rather nice I have to say.... 140 minutes was the true thing indeed but no one would have expected that !

If you bought the mp3 you already have the artwork you %+/¨* , just take them from itunes

as if they would TRICK us with the track preview length!!!!

that leads me to believe they may have just looped the first 4:14 for an hour on the preview to catch us with a second, more unexpected twist when they release the TRUE perlence subrange 6-36.

it sounds farfetched but so does bleep tricking us with the tracklength

It's an hour-long 'ambient' track. Sounds nice, like they had a relaxing time making it. It's a fairly consistent improvised bit of music. I'll maybe listen to it one day. Ok to dip in an out of, but I can't imagine listening to the whole thing in one go. The melody would just grate my nerves.
