I honestly think Richard uses computers (PC or Mac) about as much as he uses any of his other vintage synths or odd bits and ends he uses to make the sounds he does.

 

Probably used the VAIO since it's so small and easy to carry around, perfect for DJ stuff. Or perhaps his favourite software for live stuff is PC-only.

This Richard D James fella plays all his live sets with a pre-recorded CD, and then sits hunched over his VAIO checking his emails. Haven't you people figured this out already? He prefers the VAIO because it lets him access hotmail faster
