My first crack at makin mapo tofu (w/ plant-based burger). Didn't turn out half bad, despite forgetting to add sugar.

It’s lager top weather (lager with just a healthy sploosh of lemonade ?)

This is the best I can get from my local cornershop for this world class cocktail  (actually imported cans of Kronenbourg from France is very nice. The ‘brewed under license in the UK’ gear is as always totally vile)

I'm eating buffalo chicken sausage rolls that are CRAZY spicy. This might be risky if it makes my bowels upset, I have to go to work soon :wtf:

Nice, super chilled glass of Semillion Sauvignon Blanc which was left over from Sunday. Now I’m tapping my fingertips and want some more, which means buying another bottle….

totally underrated old school non-poncey cornershop cider ? 

weighing in at an impressive 6.0% alcohol it’s got the punch to do the liver a nice wack around the ring  but smooth enough that you don’t get a huge KO while staggering on the ropes by the third round ?

I've become obsessed with arugula in the past couple weeks. Always thought of it as kind of a specialty thing but it's been dirt cheap lately, in those clamshell containers of mixed salad greens. Just straight arugula at the same price point. Whatever particular nutrients are in this stuff, my body is just like fuck yeah gimme :emotawesomepm9:  It has so much intense flavour, I just eat it right out of the container.  I'm dieting right now and trying (mostly successfully) to completely cut sugar and processed foods for awhile, so that could have something to do with it. Things start to taste better with that shit out of your system.

Homemade Mac & Cheese but with puréed butternut squash instead of a béchamel sauce as the conduit for the cheese (gotta Trojan-Horse those veggies for the toddler in my life). It’s actually quite good. Just add a little extra salt and onion powder / garlic powder and you’re good.

If you haven't tried it yet, try the bowl of arugula with a splash of olive oil & vinegar, and some freshly-cracked black pepper and salt.
