I'm always interested in the folks who get a taste, don't like it, and then claim to love it later.

It also happens to people who are already into aphex. I remember the first time i listened to boxing day, i was like... you know... "quite good". Aphex's like that, the more you listen to it, the more you enjoy it : it took me 2 years of picky listening to enjoy every single of the 42 tracks from the analord series. Only W32.Mydoom.AU@mm and Backdoor.Ranky.S are still making resistance to me.

mydoom is the only analord track i never really liked much

fuckin troll if you want people to argue at least pick xmd6a or something believable

When I was about 15 (1994) a friend of mine who was in my hardcore band played me On and let me borrow the EP, as well as the Artificial Intelligence comp. I still have them today.

When I was about 11 or 12, I saw the "Come To Daddy" & "Windowlicker" music videos on a late night special on MTV of some videos witch were not aloud to be aired on day time TV. I thought the music and music videos were awesome, and I thought Richard James was cool looking because he had long hair (Because I was a metalhead, so sense he had long hair, he was cool).

But never got too interested to look him up,

But the name Aphex Twin always stayed in my memory warehouse.

Then I saw the "Rubber Johnny" video on the internet when I was about 13,

Thought it was awesome, but was too busy buying Metal albums to go purchase some electro stuff I diddn't even know too much about.

Then, When I was 16, I got soulseek and thought to my self "Hey, now I can actualy check out that Aphex Twin dude I always thought was cool but never knew too much about".

I downloaded drukqs, fell in love with it, and then it turned into a music obsession and I got everything and anything that was Richard James related.

First track I heard was digeridoo. This was back when I was first discovering napster and searching for as much weird wonderful and new shit that I could find. I listened to alot of his very early singles quite a bit ala 'classics' album, and a bit from ambient works 85-92. It wasn't until I later heard druqs that I really became a fan.
