There's a petition to ask that Dark Souls for the PC not use Games For Windows Live and use Steam instead...

I've switched over to Uncharted 3. I can't believe this game is real.

I just escaped that burning castle, Salvidor Dali ain't got nothing on this.

It is an amazing game, isn't it? Can't wait for The Last of Us to come out, as it makes Uncharted 3 look like Unsharted 3!

Spoiler-free protip for Fez: when you come across weird etchings or glyphs in various rooms, and you say to yourself, oh that looks like it will be relevant later, just take a picture of it with your phone or write them down RIGHT THEN. Backtracking sucks.

So what you're saying is that I should start over?

Nah you're just in the same boat I am, trying to remember which rooms were which. The major failing of the map is that while it tells you which rooms are connected, it doesn't tell you where each room is in the map. Since some of the hubs have like 8+ doors hidden around it becomes a real pain.

finished journey same day i bought it. but i think i missed alot of stuff. incredible game.

tried the demos for:

sniper elite v2 (or elite snipe v2 i forget) - not bad but not great. major lol at the slowmo bullet hitting internal organs. might buy when the price hits $20

i am alive - something isn't right about this game. premise is nice but it feels wrong. won't be buying

Well, at least it tells you which side they are facing. By the way, have you read the QR codes yet?

Will the game at one point tell me what I'm looking for because I hate running around not knowing exactly what it is I'm supposed to take photos of.

Just take a pen and paper and write down anything you think will be useful, don't worry about that and just play the game

Yeah I'm pretty blown away at how smooth it is. The action feels top notch and responsive. The environment was jaw drawing. The way it shifts between game play and cinematic back into game play is just insane.

One of my Xbox buddies came over and said he was going to start a fund to get a PS3 specifically after seeing me play Uncharted 3 for about 20 minutes. If there is a flaw in that game, I haven't seen it yet.

The Witcher 2 is getting X360 release tomorrow, PC users get a big free patch with all the new stuff. I'm going for a second playthrough.

Journey is a beautiful game. The companionship I felt with the people I met playing through is stronger than almost any game, and certainly the most unique.

true. i think its the lack of communication available. trying to call someone a gimp in flute stabs is impossible

Skullgirls. Haven't put it down as of yet. I'm trying to put the effort in to be somewhat of a decent player; so far it has been up and down. It's hard, the game plays like MvC a lot; and I would imagine the majority of players are coming from an MvC background. I'm just a Mortal Kombat player, trying to make it in a tag-team world. Great fighter though, specially for $15. Art is top notch, mechanics are fleshed out, good music and the game is littered with references. Learning curve is what you would expect from a fighter.

Wow, the puzzles in Fez are almost Myst-like in quality. This game is drawing me in deeper and deeper.

If there is a flaw, it's the third act - near the end, the game goes off the rails a bit story-wise, but still interesting. I won't spoil it for you.

The Wii U may stand a chance after all - supposedly, there will be a new Mario game (rumoured to be based off the Super Mario Bros. Mii demo we saw before) and a new Pikman game. If Nintendo can launch with a new Mario game (and it's good), it might succeed where the Gamecube failed.

Then again, the Nintendo 64 launched with a Mario game, and still failed, but that was due to the limiting cartridge format while CD was finally taking off with the Playstation. This time, it might be due to Nintendo's supposedly underpowered (compared to the PS3/360) hardware that some developers are complaining about, their notorious ignorance of online play, and the fact that both Sony and Microsoft's next gen consoles will probably be at least hinted at if not fully announced before the Wii U goes on sale, taking all the wind out of Nintendo's sails...

I wish Nintendo would just make their wonderful games for the other consoles - they could succeed where Sega failed in making that transition to strictly software, and could still keep the handheld market, since Sony doesn't look like it will unseat them any time soon, if ever in that arena.

Dear WATMM, am I the only person on the planet who cannot stand Bethesda games?

I'm pretty sure I won't finish Skyrim simply because I've had enough to mountains, meadows, and trolls. Plus, talking dogs and unicorns are not my favorite kind of animals...

Fallout 3 has definitely been their best one. It was full of surprises, dark twists, and it all took place in a fucked up universe where anything could happen. Even the silliest things were awesome.

I still love Bethesda...I just make sure to buy their games about a year after release date.

Im lvl. 42 in Skyrim, started over, doing the Dark Brotherhood quests and they are surprisingly drab.

I thought I felt the same about Bethesda after hating New Vegas. AKA: Fallout 3 Again.

Figured maybe I was just tired of their engine. You really can get too used to everything being subject to the same physics, having a similar look etc. But then I took an arro.. then I played Skyrim and it's hard to not be just in awe of the little details.

However I did stop playing Skyrim after being obsessed with it but that's because there was one particular dungeon that weirdly keeps crashing my PC.

There's a lot of nonsense sub-lord of the rings (and I don't even like lotr) dialogue throughout, I mainly (much like the previous game Oblivion) play it like a walk-em-up and then when I get bored do the occasional mission. But then I'm a bit weird.

I haven't eaten a Wagon Wheel since 07/11/07... ilovecubus.co.uk - 25ml of mp3 taken twice daily.

not a fan of skyrim at all, its a garbage release, i do not understand all this hype.

Not hype, people like roaming vast landscapes and doing random quests, exploring dungeons and looting all in First Person (or its semi-good 3rd Person) while in a fantasy world that can be modded with tons of news user content and mods to make the game play longer and look better. If you don't like that, and want a more directed static game, play Mass Effect.

I will admit though, after playing since Morrowind, the engine is starting to wear out. I was hoping for a grander improvement like DX11 or something since the tech exists, but dam consoles have us living in the past and slowing game development. Now I have to wait another 5-6 years to see a TES game in DX11 when we have it now... :/

The first Trials was fun in the beginning. But it just got too hard and frustrating after a while.

God of War: Ascension has been officially announced! Huzzah! Playing GoW III right now, and had forgotten how amazing this game was - the graphics easily rival the current crop of games (Uncharted 3), so I can't imagine how good the next GoW will look.
