Played a little bit of AvP last night. Leaping tree-to-tree while cloaked and slaughtering marines is a dream come true, but none of my saves will load in this evening - or it expects me to wait 10 minutes? :angry:

don't buy dragon age unless you're prepared to invest atleast 70 hours into it, i finished it in 80 hours and only did a couple of the sidequests, it's a goddamn massive game, and the best fantasy rpg i've ever played (not that i've played that many).

im playing bioshock 2 right now and loving it, but some people say it's too short.

so with only "a bit of a free weekend", i guess i'd go with bioshock 2.

the "massive fantasy rpg" is always appealing though...ugh

how long does it take to "get into" dragon age? because if i feel like im kickin ass within the first hour, im going for it, hands down.

holy shit just realized that FFXIII is out soon...maybe I should just wait..

i guess it depends on what class / race you choose. my first playthrough was as a castless dwarf, which was awesome from beginning to end, then i thought i'd try playing as a human noble for some reason. i didn't even make it through the origins part (prologue) out of sheer boredom.

i think playing as the underdog is always more fun though, if i had played as a human noble on my first playthrough i might've not even finished the game.

cept im pretty stupid when it comes to all those steps....ill sit back and see what the general consensus is....would be awesome though to finally play Mario World on a big screen tv.

heh i've been playing on my xbox, got up to 46 yesterday. the level grind is really pretty easy, i've been able to get a level every hour or so, unlike wow when you got up to the last 10 levels and it takes several days to level up.

Ah fuck yes. I loved that game. Fond memories of staying home from school due to illness and playing this, then puking, then playing, repeat. The soundtrack is actually one of the main things that got me into electronic music.

JSRF has a sick soundtrack too. good times!

lately i've been playing Modern Warfare 2 like a drughead and I can't really enjoy a day unless I play it for an hour. otherwise, some ds games like Dawn of Discovery (neat but annoying) and Heroes of Might and Magic: Something, Forget the Name. (that one's super good actually).

DS needs a proper turn based game as good as Advance Wars. All the turn based rpgs and shit coming out are just bad JRPGs that require exp grinding.

heard mass effect 2 was better than 1 but i thought ME1 was an overrated, overlong game with too much bad content to enjoy the good. so i dont think i'll be playing ME2 anytime soon.

You were right Joyrex, easy platinum for GoW. (although the challenge of the gods was pretty annoyingly tough) Just got the platinum last night. That makes 3 platinum trophies in total!! (soon to be 6 in total after I borrow Fallout 3 again from a friend, beat GoW2, and play through an easy plat in burnout paradise)

On to GoW2 now...

someone needs to help me. i miss WoW. i miss the endgame, the coordinated 10-40 man effort, the epic boss battles. i don't really want to get back into it (all 3 majorly played characters up to 100 days played til i quit 2-3 years ago), but there are no other games that are anywhere near as gratifying for me. there is no sense of community in any other game like in wow, even if the community is a bunch of nerdy assholes trying to prove they don't suck at 100% of activities, there are still a lot of genuinely nice people, and i made some good friends through the game.

i've been playing a lot of halo, gta, madden franchise and borderlands single player (the multiplayer is OK), and it's just not the same. i'm going to try star trek online, but i've been reading forums, watching friends play and it's not at the best stage dev-wise (just came out, 100s of bugs, incomplete klingon side). i don't think it will have the same level of epic as the first time i downed ragnaros or onyxia (for those who don't know, 40man raid bosses), but shit i need a nice mmo...

the worst part is i'll have to relearn a ton of stuff in wow and figure out everything that's changed in the past few years while still having the same assumptions of a lvl 60 raider lvl 70 pvper.

tomorrow i will play heavy rain. yeaj! right now i mostly play the battlefield bad company 2 demo .. have not decided if im gonna buy it thought. i love the other battlefield games but it's so sad to be addicted to that kind of game i think.
