Metal Gear solid for the ps1 on the ps3. Seems a whole lot easier than I remember..... even on the hardest setting, I distinctly remember getting blisters on the torcher part with ottacon and it was a piece of piss this time around.

^That game will fail.

wrong, its fucking mega titties awesome for a game in beta that's pretty much the first of its kind in a lot ways. I had my doubts but its gonna pull it off nicely, don't know about the longevity of it but I certainly could play it way longer than any GTA game

Told you...

Broke as fuck!

I had a blast in the beta (which was all I was promoting)((a free beta)), it wasn't flawless but it was a shit load of fun. I never actually had any experience ruining problems with it all though. I can see why it would be getting bad reviews at this point but its a massive... so its gonna get tons of updates.. its already got the fun factor just needs to work out some kinks and add more content. I might buy it in the future

Started playing through Alan Wake. It is cool but I need to pick it up again later.

It was pretty damn cool but yeah the dialogue and the story were not interesting enough to make up so much of the game. the combat was almost but not quite enough to make up for the lack of quality in the story telling. I beat it in 1 day just because I only wanted to have spent 3 dollars on the rental but if I bought it I probably wouldn't have had the interest to beat it and would have traded it back in.

I wish they would have made a new max payne like game instead

Started playing Wipeout HD on the PS3, I always disliked Wipeout because I prefer F-Zero, But I am enjoying the game and see the appeal. Shits hard though.

Also playing Fat Princess with a friend who moved to Florida, she is addicted to it.

Playing Beat Hazard on the 360, which is an indie shmup game which uses your music as your weapon. It was cheap and it's pretty cool, though I wish it was a bit more fleshed out.

I just beat Half Life 2 for the first time ever

should I spring for the episodes? what I really want is counterstrike for osX...

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge

It's a lot harder than I remember.

Do they still have an easy and hard mode?

haven't played anything in an age, but then my brother set up his radical (yes i said that word and understand the antiquation) new comp. on the living room pC. And in an attempt to get me back into keyboard and mouse fpS' loaded metro 2033.

so that's what i'm playing, and pissed off about. How dare they not give me any new gas masks !! I don't want to have to load old levels you cocks. grr. it's not an arcade game, so let me save when i wanna save faggots !!

yeah, so that's what i'm playing, i'm not sure that it's having a positive effect on me.

They left out the easy mode. It's a shame because I was actually hoping to see that classic Easy/Hard mode menu screen again

cool game, i agree about the freshed out thing tho. could be an incredible game if they added some more things. bosses/etc. still it's addictive as fuck and visually awesome when it gets going. stoner game for sure.

Have they sorted out the interface yet? The first one was unplayable, unless you went old style, which kind of destroyed the point.

Im playing endless IZombie and Vasebreaker on PvZ.

just got monkey 2 SE. I think i prefer it pixelated and subtitled, looks good revamped though

might get that Resurgence map pack for cod

anyone still play Battlefield BC2? been on the bench about it, hows it compare to MW2

If you like tactical, more realistic FPS, then BFBC2 is for you. If you like arcade-y quick run-and-gun style FPS, then stick with CoD. The Resurgence Pack is cool, but Trailer Park is a clusterfuck if you're playing with n00bs or faux-stiges (aka people that 'bought' their way to 10th prestige) who only use RPG/Thumpers as the small buildings make it difficult to defend positions as all they do is bombard the house you're trying to defend. No skill at all in pointing towards a window and pressing a button.

Come inside and get a tactical knife, fuckers

Wipeout is indeed hard... dunno if I'll ever get some of the trophies for it. Wipeout Fury ramps up the difficulty even more! Fucking awesome game though, and the music/visuals are second to none.

Beat Dead Space the other night... fucking epic game - can't wait to play the next one. Now I gotta go back and get the few remaining trophies I have left on it...

yea you'll learn you some coordination with Wipeout.. has to be the most intense racing game as of yet. i've gotten to the last set of races on each edition but it's too ridiculous at that level. the zones and deathmatch races (eliminators?) are fun as hell though!

Actually, the default settings are worse this time around. You use the left stick to control Guybrush like you would in a platform game. Luckily, you can turn this off but I'd say it's pretty much the same as the first special edition they released.

So I returned to Braid to see if I was in a better mood for it and I sure was. Some of the puzzles are absolutely insane and very well planned, but every now and then there are some puzzle solutions that seem so absurd that you start to wonder if you solved it the way it was meant by the developer.

I also started on Dead Space again last night. All this talk about it in this thread made me want to play it again. It's been around two years since I last played it but it still holds up. Not as scary as I remembered but still scary enough.
