Scott Pilgrim Vs. The Worls - It was fun, entertaining and a decent and original love story.

Funny you should say that i have never seen it either and saw a deal on it the other day, so i ordered it and it should come next week.

make sure to give it a chance, it moves a bit slowly at the beginning.

House of the Devil - 10/10

This movie had me biting my nails , shaking all the way , probably the best horror movie i have seen in the last 5 years.

The final scenes are just WOW.

I keep on meaning to watch that. My cousin gave it to me when i last visited a couple of months ago and i still haven't watched it yet.

There are some major fails in those movies that really bother me. For instance, there's a scene where they rewind the tape to get a look at one of the infected or something like that and you actually get to see the the tape rewinding. That doesn't make any sense since what you're watching is what they're recording? Teh fuck?

m8, just that, the entire movie, and propaganda around it, stated that it was a big deal, beeing recorded in 1st person, then, they take that little turd out, it smells, admit it! lol

Films like Blade Runner and Stalker don't have flaws that I would notice. A LOT of movies have flaws that make my movie experience shitty. Mostly its because I get the feeling they're deliberately making me look stupid for just being there wasting my time with crap.

I guess my point is , of course movies are gonna have moments that do not make sense , but for fuck sake IT'S FUCKING MAKE BELIEVE , the laws of our universe do not apply to fiction.

Jackass 3D - 6/10 It was pretty funny in places, and aside from the intro and outro, its really not worthy of being in 3D.

it's not just a typical movie though, its intended to be shot in a real-time documentary style. When a filmmaker decides to do this he/she needs to make sure the suspension of disbelief remains.

Man bites dog is the only fake documentary that technically gets everything correct and even uses the separate sound person & cameraman in several stylistic scenes in the movies. Fake documentaries keep getting lazier and lazier, now to the point where awful american shows like the Office use a watered down form of it.

Waltz with Bashir - 7/10 - had some great animation. Reminded me a little bit of Linklaters recent animated attempts, but for some reason this appealed to me more. IT also had some structural similarities to Waking Life. A mixture of scripted and non scripted interviews with real people filtered through a surreal cartoon overlay. The story is basically several stories told from the perspective of Israeli soldiers about war atrocities and the desensitization that goes along with it. Only a few things brought the movie down a lot for me, one was the score which i felt at times was very inappropriate and too distracting, a slightly more atmospheric eerie score would have been better i think. Also for as interesting and as well put together the movie was, the 'titular line' part was one of the most heavy handed I've ever seen in a film. It could be a lost in translation kind of thing, or the filmmaker doesnt know how to be a little more subtle, hard to tell.

Just watched Ivan the Terrible part one, really enjoyed it and Prokofiev's score, going to go watch part two now I think.
