Starsky & Hutch - this was cool. like, 7/10 cool.

Hey, what was the best comedy film you ever watched? Ok, or just the funniest movie, doesn't have to be a comedy.

www.petergaber.com is where I keep my paintings. I used to have a kinky tumblr, but it exploded.

You didn't ask me, but I'll answer this. Sleepaway Camp is all kinds of funny.

tron legacy : worse than bad.

well I was blown away by the special effects.. not a very deep plot; works more off using the first movie's premise, but at least it stays true to the original in that sense

then again I haven't really seen many great CGI movies aside from Avatar and what Pixar has to offer. still have yet to watch Transformers, granted i was never into the franchise, but i'd be satisfied even if it was like power rangers HD

I think once you got past the initial stylization with tron legacy, which is rather pretty yes, you find yourself resident in a pretty cheaply generated world. Count the number of locations. When this disappointment is added to the heap, it ends up being a fucking hideous creation with the art direction that would carry only the teaser clip and not an whole film.

I knew it was going to eat shit within 30 seconds with all those split-screen edits

that seems to be boyle's go-to trick, music video thing. agreed with everything you said though... he's made 2 good movies (trainspotting and shallow grave)and even watching trainspotting again you realise it's pretty shit.

i recently saw the first tomie film, and then videodrome. damn there is some good shit out there. i need to see more cronenberg films, i've only seen scanners, a history of violence, eastern promises and videodrome thus far. the tomie film was actually pretty cool, especially how it left everything unexplained. videodrome was awesome, i love that technological surrealistic body horror stuff.

The Brood kicks arse.

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

Duck, You Sucker (4/4), wow, seriously underrated Sergio Leone film. Just as good if not better than G,B, and U and Once Upon A Time In The West.

Adaptation (4/4) first viewing i was a little unsure, but i definitely love this film after second viewing. Charlie Kaufman is a genius.

think i'm going to watch true grit tonight, for the first time.

9/10

still haven't seen this. did you need subtitles?

Helluva watch. I dunno Keltoi, the whole movie would have sounded like "YA PRICK; WEE COONT; DAFT COONT; WEE PRICK; SHITEBAG" with little else in between had I not scored the eng. .srt. Sort of like those jellied neds in that "fuck-in-the-park" video of yore, which even you as a native Scotsman said was unintelligible at times.

Really a great movie. At other points in my life, I might have disliked the ambiguous ending but I'm suffering the fallout from some shite decisions and behavior not unlike our man McGill so it really resonated with me.

i'm surprised you overseaers are enjoying this, well not you x cos you love all things scottish. i need to see this soon!

I cannot express the pure sincere high that I get from (re-)watching this genius 89' russian sf/comedy movie, but what I am almost sure of is the fact that this is going to win the most idm tournament 2012 IF enough people watch it. anything I would say would surely be a spoiler, so just watch it inb4 i start spamming it
