Watched Primer, good movie. Lots of food for thought.

10/10

love love love that movie, its how i imagine something like that would be stumbled upon, by students or people trying for an idea close to it and accidentally getting a crazy result, theres a visual timeline up online somewhere, the depth and complicatedness of it all is mindboggling

just watched Blood Simple AND The man who wasn't there for the first time today. Both fucking excellent movies. I can't believe how good Blood Simple was. It is really well done, almost like a tarantino movie with some of the camera shots. Blood simple almost seemed like no country for old men.

I think I still need to see hudsucker proxy and miller's crossing. Probably a couple others as well, can't remember. (on the coen binge, they are blowing my mind with the consistent quality in writing and direction, it is insane how talented they are)

I just read that PTA's "The Master" is going to have a different cinematographer than his other movies. I don't know if that is good or bad. His normal guy is super good but then again maybe switching it up to somebody else will allow some new ideas to come into play.

Watched primer, thought it was good, mainly in the dialogue between the guys as they were building the device and realized what it was capable of. Nice portrayal of scientific discovery

hudsucker proxy is pretty bad. and i'm a fan of coens in general. wouldn't recommend.

I typically don't like their smug "know it all" kind of attitude. That said, the more I think about it, the more I really like "A Serious Man." Will have to watch it again...

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

Yeah I had to read that to fully understand the movie.

Watched Blade Runner in bluray on my projector lastnight...i think i could sit and watch that film back to back forever and never get bored, it is wonderful. I feel like this was the first real time ive seen it, even though ive watched it 100000000000 times before.

Tintin 9/10

I really liked Tintin as a kid. So this movie left me quite happy.

hits so hard - this is a doc about patty schemel, drummer for hole, in case aynyone was wondering. and wow. 90s alt dream died such a horrible death. all these people act like half-brains, look awful and talk idioticy. i guess drugs are bad.

no, but in all seriousness, it kinda gets going. i'm not sure my life is richer now that i know merely 6 years ago hole's lesbian drummer was somewhere on the streets giving head for crack, but i guess it was worth showing that she survived.

on a side note, all those documentaries about strung out rock musicians make want to watch, like, brian eno eating an apple and reading a book for an hour while adjusting the tape machines from time to time. or twiddling some filters. anything not related to nearly dying from drugs and alcohol.

Thank you for ruining cabin in the woods for me, huzza!

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

what did you expect? the only generations that took drugs but remained inspiring and coherent were the 60s/70s

when i first heard the Coen brothers had secured the rights for No Country i remember amost praying that it would be like Blood Simple, luckily my wishes came true. When the coen bros are 'serious' they are deadly

I love how chaotic and non sensical the ending of that movie is, by the end you almost don't understand the motivations of the main assassin guy at all.

hudsucker proxy is fantastic

it is, and most people probably arent aware (since it was before they were super famous) that Hudsucker was a huge setback for them. It lost quite a bit of money at the box office, which up until then had never happened to them before because even movies like Raising Arizona were very low budget in comparison. The movie made them loose a lot of their confidence, confidence they wouldn't get back until Fargo

Huh, you realize Richard D James, BOC, Tom Jenkinson etc. etc. most of all the greatest artists have all done quite a lot of drugs?
