A few films recently watched.

Shutter was 2004? I watched it last year and it was a new release. It was real good shit. Borrowed heaily from The Ring, The Eye etc. But some extremely effextive horror scenes in this. The scene where the flash camera is going off on a timer is immense. Very well made film.

Caralaaaaaan......God is in......his holy temple........

haven't seen it since it was brand new, but that is definitely one of the best long haired ghost movies.

Some songs I made with my fingers and electronics. In the process of making some more. Hopefully.

Agreed. Tonight I'll watch Chakushin ari (the original "One Missed Call"). The remake was a storm of poop but it had Shannyn Sossamon as the leading actress... sooo... they sort of tricked me into watching it.

That film is utterly insane. If you thought Audition or Dead Or Alive were abstract you ain't seen anything yet. It's fucking nuts.

Can't even believe they decided to remake this film due to the outlandishness of some of the scenes in the original. But they liked the premise. Get the feeling they thought they could restructure it for the mainstream.

That's Hollywood for you.

Run Ronnie Run - - 7/10 I don't know why this got panned and B.O. & D.C. spiritually disowned it. Perhaps my terribly low expectations made the movie SEEM better. Whatever the case, I lol'ed a few good times, despite a shit mood.

Ghostbusters - I dunno what made me revisit this... I hadn't seen it since probably '94, living at my moms and watching from an old vhs tape that was taped off of TV. Bill Murray hasn't surpassed this I don't think. I hope they make pt. 3, even if it sucks.

Going on a Paul Newman spree.

Last night, The Hustler, which was great. They don't make films like that anymore, at least not in the mainstream. What a fucking cast, too. Newman, Gleason, George C. Scott. Just awesome. Now I gotta watch the sequel with Tom Cruise for the lols.

Fuck me, I watched the remake of One Missed Call (not seen the original) because there was nothing to watch at my ex girlfriends. It was fucking diabolical. I hope it's nothing like the original!

I recognise that she is a beaut and I would say that she is a redeeming factor, but I honestly don't want to put the words 'redeeming' and 'one missed call' in the same sentence.

Aw shit I did it anyway!

SHANNYN SOSSAMON!

Anyway, the movie blows. I'll watch the original tonight or play some Resident Evil 5 even though it's a disgrace. It's like Resident Evil 4's retarded step brother.

Guest Benedict Cumberbatch

Good film... you'll enjoy :)

forgot to mention I watched the second episode of Bored to Death... it must have been the alcohol swashing in my belly for episode 1 but 2 was gawd awful despite the few lols.

i disagree, clearly that film is The Great Yoki War. i actually haven't seen audition but all of the other miike 'shocking' horror movies ive seen seem very juvenile (ichi the killer for example, seems like somebody riding Tarantino's dick a little too hard), ill give audition a try at some point

I'd never seen The Great Yoki War... I kind of gave up on post 2000 Miike spare The Happiness of the Katakuris and his short, the Box.
