I was wondering the same thing...

any who back on topic with recently watch films... I showered my roommate in 2 more Kaufman films:

Being John Malkovich - 7/10 - not as awesome as I once remembered it though still a great film in my eyes. The roommate seemed to have placed his thoughts in the same toilet bowl as he did with Adaptation in that at the end all I could get out of him was, "heh heh that was interesting." I'm pretty sure it went straight through and splashed his bum on the way out. The film is great but after multiple viewings my Kaufman vagina must have been stuffed a bit too far for I was a bit desensitized from the experience. I see it as one of those films that opens doors to others which is exactly what it did to me when I first watched it... jesus.... 10 years ago.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - 8/10 - This film always gets to me... I love the story and the characters and the fragmented imagery... though the direction seemed a bit too in your face at times ... and a bit pretentious (hate using that word) but it's a god damned good film. The roommate actually liked this one but it was probably due to the over saturated imagery. The characters are not as typical as I would have expected from Kaufman which is what I like most... these aren't pathetic human beings whom constantly reach out for the audiences apathy or are used as scapegoats from a good laugh.... they actually feel like real people, real emotions that we all should be familiar with.

One more Kaufman film to go for him, Human Nature, which I'm sure he wont like.

there's no need to watch again. And Lady in the Water didn't do well because it's a terrible bedtime movie, and everyone pretends that nothing else ever Happeninged.

Please don't be typical WATMM whiny douchebags because I asked Joyrex to pin this topic. I can see an argument for recent artwork, but the most recent pic thread is the same 5-6 narcissists rambling for 80% of its several thousand posts.

Anyway, if there's pissing and moaning about it, I'd rather see this topic unpinned than have every idiotic long thread on this forum get pinned as well.

Bah, Unbreakable was great.

Taken 5/10 - This was a really mediocre action flick starring Liam Neeson. I kept waiting for the film to show me an action set-piece that I hadn't seen done better numerous times in other films. Do yourself a favor and rent the Bourne films or 'Ronin' instead, they both do the same thing but a lot better.

That's a very generous rating. I couldn't believe I watched it all the way through, but I realize that was mostly for the lolness of it....

absolutely fucking right.

i didn't expect anything but something occasionally funny, but this is just pure legend.

i'm a little high though so i don't know if it's just that, but god... me and my friends keep rewinding it to hear the lines. i'm not even done yet and i'm confident giving this at least an 8/10

Star Trek (2009) - 2/10 - what fifth! I was crippled by relentless agony the entire time. My roommate purposed it was his turn to pick the movie so I countered, "Ok... best film you've seen this year." At the point when Mrs Kirk was giving birth simultaneously as Captain Kirk was, in a sense, giving birth to their getaway ship, I knew I was in for some corpulent abscess just waiting to burst into an oozing mess of flashy gimmicky nonsense. The lens flares put transformers to shame I can say. I enjoyed the TV series from what I saw, but this... I'm curious to see what true fans of the series thought of it. I thought it was tasteless in about every sense.

Paranormal Activity - 4/10

I usually stay away from horror movies but ended up watching this one. It wasnt scary at all and that camera technique got a bit boring after a while. Katie was pretty hot though. Also I just found out that they are making a sequel..

It's a weird movie, in that if you analyze it it's crap, but if you flow along on the surface level it's entertaining enough. That seems to be the case with all JJ Abrams endeavors. He's not quite as bad as Michael Bay but that's not saying much. I think it's a movie you end up liking almost against your better judgement. I liked it at the time, and still feel fine about it, even though it shat on Star Trek canon and didn't really make any sense.

After this I listened to geogaddi and I didn't like it, I was quite vomitting at some tracks, I realized they were too crazy for my ears, they took too much acid to play music I stupidly thought (cliché of psyché music) But I knew this album was a kind of big forest where I just wasn't able to go inside.

- lost cloud

I was in US tjis summer, and eat in KFC. FUCK That's the worst thing i've ever eaten. The flesh simply doesn't cleave to the bones. Battery ferming. And then, foie gras is banned from NY state, because it's considered as ill-treat. IT'S NOT. KFC is tourist ill-treat. YOU POISONERS! Two hours after being to KFC, i stopped in a amsih little town barf all that KFC shit out. Nice work!

So i hope this woman is not like kfc chicken, otherwise she'll be pulled to pieces.

-organized confused project

Yeah... i didn't intend to be analytical about it... i knew it was going to be action-movie bad but my god... all that lens flare.

Yes, parteE, I'm talking to you.

ah, ok. i thought this thread was just for getting inspiration to watch some new movies. i did not see it was meant to be for discuss the seen movie, sorry.
