yeah. detroit probably plays the best hockey in the league. built around possession and skill and efficiently capitalizing on their chances and the other teams mistake. i don't like detoilet either, but i got to give respect to their style and ability to stay a strong contender every year.

also i might add, i would like to see staal scratched and put someone like petr sykora or maybe jeff taffe back in the team, staal has been crap all play offs, and sykora cant be any worse then he is, and as satan showed it does players good if there scratched and then get a call up again. satan has been well since coming back at the end of the 1st round.

satan was crap and got put down to ahl and came back stronger. so maybe sykora will.

what a diffrence a goal makes. 3-2 up and its become a GREAT game after the go ahead goal!

open netter 4-2 to the pens, 2-1 in the series, at the mellon the pens have been a diffrent team then they were at detriot.

the remainder of the series depends entirely on fleury... look at how many shots on goal detriot had tonight. unless the pens d can do a better job of controlling their end it's going to be just as tough as it was tonight. which is to say that the pens did look good but detriot is playing at or slightly above their level.

+ PP's the first 2 games detriot controlled there penaltys last night they gave away loads of penatlys and the penguins capitalized on the PP, but saying that both teams have a rubbish penatly kill, but the pens are slightly better (or the redwings are slightly worse on their PP's?)

2 pens players are annoying me at the moment, staal, like i said before has been rubbish all play offs, and hal gill, the number of times hes been in fluerys way for goals is unreal, but saying that i guess it comes with the job of being a defenceman

rubbish as in cant win a face off to save his life one stat was somthing like 5-36, and his back check is non exsistant. plus he looks like he dosnt try as hard as he could. but then again he is young and might learn somthing, from the penguins old boys, guerin and gill, talbot ect;

jus t my opinions not trashing my ownplayer for the fun of it.

I was wondering why the pens had drifted off...no matter now. Back in form. I'm really surprised they haven't flattened the wings after the way they stomped the hurricanes. Even Staal made a decent contribution to the game as well. Interesting turn of events.

I missed the game, so i cant comment on it. Mondays game 6 is back in pittsburgh, you all know its going to a game 7 in detriot right?!

EDIT: Reading up on the game, this strikes out as being the main reason (obviosuly) why we lost "Pittsburgh capped the night with 36 penalty minutes in the third period, including three 10-minute misconducts". though its weird that they capped 36 penalty minutes in the 3rd where they didnt conceed a goal.
