Oh maaaaan! Just got back in. Quite sober too. It was a good night all in all. But I feel old and glad I'm back in my bed. Met LOADS of wattemers, everyone was really nice. Glad to have met you all.

Wisp's set was great, unfortunately I missed a bit of it queuing to go for a ciggy! But everyone loved it, and were jumping around like maniacs! The sound system in that place is pretty shit IMO, but it could be the fact that every part of the place distorts with the bass and it was sometimes difficult to hear anything but metal pipes rattling... maybe just me.

Computer controlled played a Monolith track too which was pretty fucking brilliant.

Aphex' set was good, but not really into the gabber stuff he played. That's just me though.

Hope everyone else enjoyed it and like I said, really nice to meet the wattems and even the lurkers too. Really nice people. Just wish i'd have seen copypaste! :(

I went to the station bar a bit late as I needed to get some grub beforehand, sorry I didnt get to meet any of you guys but I was down the front from 10 and stayed there til Aphex finished. It was amazing I loved every minute of it.

Really enjoyed the Computer Controlled selection at the start. Wisp was brilliant. Thought Aphex was way better back in '07. Didn't really enjoy his set this time, couldn't really get into it.

I agree the sound system in there ain't that good. It only really works well with clean sounding stuff, Squarepusher last year sounded terrible, you could hardly hear the tunes. LFO on the other hand, his set worked well as it sounded pretty simple. Shame about the vibrations on the air con metal or whatever it is. Shame Vibert was on at the end, I suppose that gave Grant a chance to play more of the cheery hip hop stuff.

sick night, well packed as ever and sweaty as hell....the sound is indeed abit naff in places but if you're in the middle it aint too bad, much better sound when the dancefloor is a bit more sparse.

met plenty of safe people from on here, Solo Strike, Acidburp, Stripeyhat, Behindthebeats....people from old events

Afx played a bit too much hard techno for my liking but was an epic set nonetheless, Vibert topped it all off although still no enough d&b and jungle for me :)

wicked gig, off again in two weeks to the Thrasher night with Gaslamp Killer and lots of othe rwonky dubstep malarkey

Yeah great night.

Computer controlled played some really nice subby electro. I think some people got confused between Grant swapping over to play his set. Grants set was just right, starting with the old skool breaks moving along to electro and techno. Didnt see all of wisp's set some how, but mainly heard the dnb stuf.

The best bit of afx's set was when he switched from meltphace 6(i think, something off drukqs anyways) to some absolutley banging hard techno, best switch i have ever heard. Luke's set was pretty fresh as always.

APHEX TWIN STOPPED THE CLOCK. ive seen him around 15-20 times but that set was right up there with the very best of them. totally sick selection. great atmosphere. sound system did suck but there were sweet spots in the room. wisp was also wicked. thought luke was pretty awful. made some terrible versions of the rome tracks. made them sound like utter shit. bizzare. shout out to solostrike and jimbob

Excellent night indeed! Andro was top notch, DJ Rephlex was pretty good (I loved the song which has the lyrics "This is a test, there is a bug in the system...", Wisp played a fantastic set (even throwing in a "WISP, REPHLEX RECORDS" in a distorted voice ala the ripped promo that is on the internet) during Teddy Oggie his new stuff sounds awesome!.

Aphex had a fucking awesome set, with lots of new? sounding music, some reggae stuff ("I WANT TO SUCK YOUR PUSSY" LOL), the bastard nearly played Windowlicker! there was a flash of the Windowlicker art on the screen and he was playing the first few notes! but he didn't carry it on :( (I reckon its because the flashing and notes weren't really noticed/cared about by the majority of the pillheads) My mate says that a bottle of water nearly hit RDJ and then he decided to play that fucking ROUGH track and put the animal killings/human autopsies/ Japanese scat porn on the screen (in an angry response to some cunt) funnily enough made quite a few people leave xD. It made Ventolin look calm, the high pitched screaming noise, the drum, and what was a faint and utterly sinister melody worked its way (by this point RDJ was beating a dead horse as I was fucking shattered)

On an interesting note, I was outside waay before the show started, when they were setting up. Me and my mate heard the soundcheck and he played quite a few tunes he never dropped in the fucking gig. Like Reunion 2 (I'd have loved to hear that... oh well at least I was privileged enough to hear it with my mate and no one else being there so I can imagine it was for us :P), something tussy sounding as well with a bit of distortion. After that it sounded like Wisp was messing around with the soundcheck too.

The ambient opener at the beginning sounded like a mixture of a Saw II track fusing into one of the quieter tracks off of Drukqs before going apeshit with the drums.

As for the comments on the soundsystem? sounded fucking excellent where I was standing... don't know about you guys :/

Damn, when I saw the new Afx shirt (designed with the Afx logos like they are on the Richard D James disc) and the cardigan I was sold. I'd have gotten myself a black Windowlicker umbrella but I had no cash xD, the free sticker now resides on my CD player...

oh and for those interested, here was the Running order (I stole a copy off a wall to keep :P)

"Computer Controlled 22.00-23.00

DJ Rephlex Records 23.00-00.15

Wisp LIVE 00.15 - 1.15

Aphex Twin 01-02.45

Luke Vibert 02.45- 04.00" I'd type up room 2 but in all honesty who the hell was in room 2 listening to Computer Controlled when Wisp was on, or "Greg Lord" when Aphex was playing?!?!?

PS: I don't know if you chaps noticed, but Luke Vibert was in the middle of the crowd, he was dancing right beside me and my mate. I think he was with his missus and at least one friend, he departed shortly before the animal killing started.

I was there, I heard Polynomial C, Digeridoo, Vorbdshon (sp?)

I would like to know what that amazing synthy prog stuff was he played when the laser show went off!

Indeed, he also played Meltphace...

Yeah, I think he played a bit of his new stuff...

Also, I'd love to know what songs that Computer Controlled played (and how may I get hold of them? those were some FUNKY/immense tunes at the start!)

I will be wearing this shirt, my Aphex one is in dire need of a wash. No I will not be pouting as much when I see you all.

I'm pretty sure I saw you up at the front during Wisp... with a slightly taller guy (of whom slapped me on the face, of which I was pretty close to flooring the cunt but I said to myself "Just find someplace else to stand, I'm not getting booted out of heaven for mashing the face of some stoner junky who is only here to get off his tits") if not him then I'm pretty sure I saw you around!

finally got home too, unfortunatly I didnt manage to recognize any watmmers, although some guy tried to talk to me after the afx, but my ears refused to understand a word, sorry for that

Wisp was amazing, I havent listened to his recent stuff yet, but definetly will now!

Aphex set served me pretty good, too bad there were so many people in such a small space. I met a few guys on the bus from Birmingham to Manchester and they said the visuals at the end were quite similar to the London/previous gigs. The Aphex umbrella was a lol, but too bad it was black and way too expensive

my recorder fucked up

I think I got some of the Wisp set, and some good action snippets but no RDJ audio I'm afraid guys.
