Wisp was amazing, I havent listened to his recent stuff yet, but definetly will now!

I could only recognise two things from his set, the first track off of The Shimmering Hour and a drum loop from Honor Beats mixed with something new (so pretty much ALL of his set was his new music!!)

I really hope so, it was immense. Think Tuss/Analord vibes but a little more 4/4 pumping kick drum style. Was fucking ace.

awesome, did he play that one track? Theres one track rich has played a few times this year, not the manchester one but the one that has two distinct sections. Kick drum and sub-bass acid(bwoon dubby), then the warbly saw waves with the breakbeat(tussy breaks). Goes back and forth. Never heard the complete thing though. I have it on my computer though and I think I uploaded it once.

Hard to say, I didn't recognise any of the tunes. Very very easily identifably as Aphex though. It was great

it's hard to imagine afx would really dig all that gabba shit, maybe he just plays it to take the piss, but you never know

If you wanted Windowlicker, should of headed to Matter, played pretty much the full thing there. Didn't pick up on any of it in Manchester

So obvious question but anyone record this one? Would be a massive shame if they hadn't.

Just got back after a hectic weekend myself. Sorry didn't get to meet any of you, the place was packed, especially for Aphex. That said amazing night! Wisp was wicked, started with the Bard (Postlude) so the night couldn't really go wrong thereafter.

Pretty much got in and stayed in middle of the main area by the second arch (sort of back by the merchandise stand) the whole night.

Watched the whole of Grant's set too (excellent by the way), and I must say I agree with Solo below. Obviously I don't know for sure if it was unreleased AFX material specifically, but it certainly raised an eyebrow from me, and mentioned it at the time to some friends. It sounded like it anyway.

What?! I didn't hear that and i saw the whole set. I do know he played 2 monolith tracks back to back though and some JK.

My friend said the visuals of a dead horse being beaten was shown when the gabba started... as though ironic. I missed that as I was escaping the noise in the cinema room.

Yeah it was kinda this black and white mixture of animals jerking about and stuff like that. But I also thought that stuff Grant played sounded very Tuss, was absolutely banging, I almost forgot Aphex played a Universal Indicator track too, he pretty much played everything I could have hoped he would.

I was disappointed afx didnt play synthacon 9, glad he played lisbon acid, at least i think he did, its abit blurry.

Funnily enough, after his "last track" with the animal killings etc, he walked off with the blue screen of death and let that track playing (from about midway with the sound of what sounds like an engine revving up and down, it was FUCKING IMMENSE in the WHP, about 1:20 into the video)

Well, what I saw was a guy sharpening knives, then an animal getting its throat slit. A bit of rigor mortis and more animals being killed in similar fashion with jumpy editing to the music. Cut to a few human corpses and then autopsies of the bodies, after that he showed some Japanese scat porn which culminated in one guy pissing into this womans mouth. After that it was just on repeat with the jumpy editing in response to the music.
