i always felt a bit odd asking for an autograph, so i don't think i've ever done it.

I met BCM and KAEN in my dreams last night (yeah).

I was E'd off my tits though. BCM, you were pretty quiet. KAEN spotted me as I was walking to the filling station. He said "Brilliant". I said "Indeed". We bought pasta instead of gas.

yeah . i was kind of taking the piss though by asking him...

he was really freaked out and i think he probably realised i was taking the piss

I don't ask for autographs b/c id rather just chat with the person. Like got to talk to squarepusher for about 120 seconds and gave him one of my cds, but he didn't say a word to the person whose records he was singing ;) The SP thing was funny because he always looks, well kinda shabby or just casual and he came out of the backstage area with the shirt he wore during the show all nicely pressed and on a coat hanger, and he was carrying only that. It was a very funny situation i wish i had a camera. Also i'm sure he threw my cd in the bin, this was 2004 and looking back that's pretty much where that cd belonged.He wasn't too chatty tho, he looked very surprised when he saw there were about 15 or so people waiting outside of the backstage area, outside, in between the door, and his bus. He was trapped and didn't seem to thrilled. He was polite tho. You english and your manner. He did the country proud.

I would assume that these super stars are curious to see what's out there and would give it at least a 30 second listen.

If I could start a new thread at work I'd pose the question: "If you became famous, would YOU listen to demo CDs that are handed to you?"

Im not totally sure. He likely put it in since i was the only one that gave him anything (i offered to get him high too but he said he was fine). I think he prolly skipped thru it. But it was only a few tracks and there was really only one interesting one on there. But he said something to the extent of "oh yeah, i love getting stuff like this, you made it at home then?" to which i said yes and he said "yah that's the best way...there's a wicked sound system in the bus...cheers" and that was about it. and i was liekomfgsquarepushergimieyourms20

I would certainly listen to demos/albums if ppl gave them to me if i was successful. but you have to think about how often that happens and how much other stuff you might have going on. I know trent reznors lawn was always littered with demos when he lived in new Orleans.

asking for autographs is just a bit of a weird thing to do really
