I don't ever go to concerts...the only thing coming close to one is probably the Proxy playing a one hour live-set in Berlin this fall, but apart from that I've never been to any in my life. Apart from maybe 2 local bands, again of which one are two guys performing electro with vocals.

Unless we count DJ sets too though - then I've been to shitloads.

I don't get the point in concerts anyway to be fair. You'll pay 20 Euro to see some band play maximum 2 hours (if at all), maybe a good support as well and then you leave. Sure that might be cool but I'd rather pay 10 bucks for a club, dance like a madman for 10 hours and stumble home at 12 AM.

Let's see what the festival season brings this summer though...maybe I'll change my mind.

I suppose when you go to a really good concert one day you'll understand.

For me, it brings in a whole other element to the music that I already love, to watch the artist perform/present it live and in person. It adds to the experience and enjoyment. Or perhaps because I am a musician that enjoys playing live, I dig seeing how other people do it too. And getting fecal faced and dancing like a madman is also great!

Same. My parents wouldn't let me go.

i've seen Squarepusher twice and once he put on one of the most visually and musically entertaining sets i've ever seen, the other time it was one of the worst and most disappointing, i ended up walking out halfway through his performance. The live sound that night was awful and Eqed terribly, its too bad when the live sound engineer is mostly responsible for ruining someones set.

ya I got to meet the guys after the show and I told Martin "I'm glad you played suck" to which he replied "it was a good night for suck"

both times i saw pigface it was kind of a mess, two drummers on stage all playing over a precorded DAT backing track (which already had heavy industrial drums) it was neat seeing all the guest appaearnces but it actually kind of soured me on the band on a while.

Shit, no way I can remember them all. Here's a few live concerts i've been too, not in order, and im not counting festivals.... far too many there...

I saw them on that tour as well, when they came to L.A. What did you think of Cassette Boy? He was wearing a Bush or Tony Blair mask I think... and I hate to say it but was kinda' boring.

Or maybe it was the anticipation of seeing Squarepusher that made me super anxious for him to get off stage.

Did that beat boxer The Human Orchestra open that night too? He blew me away. Not sure if he was on all tour stops though.

Tom's set was awesome though, I loved it. Bass fingers faster than I could keep up with and blinding strobes pointed at the audience. Great sound, great show.

another funny thing about that show is tom pointed in my direction (i was right at the front) and i thought he was pointing at me but there was a hot girl behind me

I found cassette boy entertaining. I don't know who played before them, it was somebody Djing. I liked their Harry Potter mashup thing and the bush/blair masks. But was not really too impressed. However I talked to them after the show and they were pretty nice.I asked what they used to slice up everything and the guy said wavelab, and I loled (never liked wavelab) and told him to get cool edit/audition, and he had never heard of it! Which made me lol even more. I spoke to Tom after the show too and he was super nice and seemed a bit shy at the number of people waiting for him at the tour bus. I gave him a cd of mine and he actually said "I love hearing stuff like this" i guess meaning from fans, which surprised me, though I find it doubtful he made it past track 1 if he even listened to it b/c it was not some of my better music. I said "thanks for coming to NC, people around here rarely get to hear music like yours" and he got a lil blushy and said thx and went on to sign the record of the guy that was too nervous to ask him (he got his GF to do it for him). All in all one of the most amazing shows I've ever been to. The midi sync'd strobes were cool, but after about beer #5 I felt like I was going to have a seizure.

Plaid was also awesome. Didn't look up from their computers much, but had the energy up there tweaking their mixer. Their laptops crashed right before the peak of "new family" and it was so facepalm made me never want to use a computer live (though i eventually did, and do). They didn't do the song over either, they just went onto the next one which was kinda sad. Seeing music like that live, and mostly the amount of people that went to see them and squarepusher really made my heart warm for non-mainstream electronic music (sp was almost sold out in a venue of about 1000 capacity).
