Don't know the first one though, and it doesn't particularly appeal to me.

heh. you have good taste sidewinder!

 

the first one its pat metheny group. the entire cd cover, back cover and booklet were all in pictures. the cd had the same pictures and the alphabet. once you figured out the order to spin the cd to the corresponding letter, you could decode the entire layout. it was very cool. designed by stefan sagmeister.

Reminds me of Danzig's Lucifuge CD insert, except the cross was upside down. :emotawesomepm9: Can't find any pics of it.

You know what's funny is that I never realized that was cEv on the cover of Music for Cats, smoking a blunt. Stupid me. :facepalm:

yeah, i knew a bloke in bristol who had one of these - he'd got really baked back in the 60s and drawn himself in the crowd in the artwork, so not sure that it'd count as a "mint copy"...
