It probably deserves it's own thread, someone else can make one because I can't be arsed, but Philip K Dick's Journals are to be published next year. Exciting.

Whatever the official WATMMer stance maybe on this, it raises more than a flicker of interest for me. I think Scott has a clue about what might work, and his statement about what kind of direction he will take sounds dark and uncommercial. Perhaps he wants to do it justice before he gets too old? It's a shame when people knock him down before they see any evidence.

But as you say. Somethings are best left untouched or to the imagination.

i always thought Aphex should've done the soundtrack for DOOM 3. i think he'd do really good soundtrack work.

After seeing American Gangster I have a good reason to be apprehensive about a new Alien movie by Ridley Scott, specially if Russell Crowe is in it Ridley Scott just hasn't made any really good movie in a long time.

I thought American Gangster wasn't very good but Body of Lies was underrated. I agree that I don't think Scott has as much juice in his batteries as he once did, but we haven't seen him tackle a sci-fi flick in a while, no? I think he's capable of rising to the challenge. Should at least be pretty to look at.
