There is a reason why most of the 10-12 year old kids wear Barca shirts. I don´t think it´s so much because of the Barca hype as the fact that most football lovers find them highly entertaining.

chenGOD: Also, there is a difference between understanding and enjoying "tactical battles, discipline and and gutsy performance". If you look at mid 90s Italian football you get a lot of that. But it´s not too entertaining, imho.

Not quality. Entertainment. And I already moderated the anti-football statement two pages ago.

And I´m not that bitter. I can enjoy tactical battles and discipline, like when Basel won against ManU. But for most matches, I hope the team that produces the most chances win.

That doesn't even make sense. If you produce 100 chances but don't convert, do you deserve to win? Look, I'm not saying that Barca are not a dominant side. They are dominant because they play boring, high-percentage passing football which emphasizes possession over attack.

Basel fully deserved to win that match, they played some excellent football, and we played like shit. Also that was one of the few times I really questioned Fergie's line-up.

Barca was dominant because they produced the most chances. I´m not saying that they deserved to win. It´s fucking impressive to snatch a draw at Camp Nou with 10 players for 50 minutes. The only drawback is that they over two matches had to play defensive, tactical football that 90% of neutral football fans find utterly boring. I really don´t understand why you can´t see my point. As a supporter of a small norwegian team, I´m happy when they snatch a point or even three against superior teams, but that doesn´t mean that I wanna see most football matches like that. I always want to see attacking teams and a lot of goals. A 1-0 match is most often of a better objective quality that one that ends 5-4. I still want to see lot of goals.

Anyway, "arguing on the internet" and all that. I think I made my point for now.
