I played that last night with Murve. Loads of fun. We changed the glory holes so it's realistic to get knocked out of them. Though it's still difficult to do it.

Though people with bad computers like me have trouble playing in the rain it gets too laggy.

seriously though, this is supposed to be MINE craft. We need more building pieces, and I want shit like elevators and conveyor belts and drills. I want to be able to mechanize mining productions somehow. It can still look "dwarf like" to fit in with the aesthetic. How about a drill cart? You could fill it with track pieces so it would lay track as it drilled forward. I dunno, it just always seems to me that the gulf between "I dreamed of a fantastic structure" and actually building it is a TON of pointless busy-work. Plus they really should have figured out high-speed elevators by now, I mean seriously, ladders and water are a joke...

potions have been in all 1.9pres. and they're useful, things like tools that endure longer or silk touch

Minecarts with chests could serve a function like a conveyor belt. Send the materials you gathered back up the track to a collection point.

I've seen piston elevators but they are fairly impractical.

The further Notch develops Minecraft, further fans will be disappointed. I kinda like it as much as I did before, and am checking out all the new stuff and this thread all the time, but I'm not playing anymore. I kinda see no purpose in it anymore. Maybe in some time, when it's character has changed again and there is plenty of new stuff I'll go for it again.

All the new stuff in 1.9 makes me think notch is turning this into a sandbox rpg.
