wait...so can you breed colored animals, or did you dye them all by hand?

i dyed the originals and they mate and make colored sheep

its a really good way to multiply ur amount of colored dye without have to collect more DYE MATERIALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

currently doing some first steps in Minecraft PE. Its still very basic and supports only creative mode but you can freely try various stuff without mining. Soon there will be updates so you can do more

it indicates the sheep are in 'love mode' (no, really) and ready to breed.

A noobs experience:

Arrived, went to the nether, was slightly freaked out by the things wandering around there. Went to Murvetown, admired the buildings but could not find anywhere to build. And I didn't have anything to build with or anywhere to mine. Found a few shops but didn't have anything to trade. Admired the central station. Decided I would have to head into the wilderness to mine and build up resources. They weren't any minecarts so I walked along the track towards the Forest of the Mundane. I was half starved by the time I got to the flaming island. It was dark so I sheltered in the tunnel until morning and then went to look for food. Came out of the tunnel near a bit with a glass ceiling, could only find one solitary sheep and no other animals. Climbed a mountain and enjoyed the scenery, slowly starving. Looked for animals. Couldn't see any. Saw some sugar cane down by the beech and reasoned that it might be edible. It wasn't. By now I was actually starving. Was on 4 hearts when I found some zombie flesh. It poisoned me but gave me back some health. Got away from the mountains and into the forest bit. Still no animals anywhere. It was getting dark and I found a simple stone building - my last chance, would there be food inside? There was a chest but it only contained 8 empty buckets. I turned the cane into sugar on the crafting table but still couldn't eat it. I was starving again and it was dark. I realised I wouldn't make it through the night so ran out into the dark forest hoping for a cow or pig. Got eaten by spiders. The End.

I'm loving single player though. Will try and get properly started another time on the server next week.

Ask somebody to show you around next time. Many of us would be able to direct you to areas suitable for building on your own. That forest is actually fairly vacant and you'd have no problems finding resources there. Stay on the track to the end and there's a hut with some supplies and food.

actually no food there at the moment, must attend to that. still plenty of beef left after the great cow slaughter.
