hey stomach/verticalhold - does the server need to be updated, or does my MC need to be updated? It says 1.6.2 X with a big red X through it. I guess that means you need to update the server?

Hey guys, I have an account with Minefold that has 1000 hours of player time in credit, but Minefold are going out of business at the end of the month.

I might as well use up the credit so I have created a server for you watmm peeps:

nb: it being minefold, if you're the first person to connect for a while it can be a little slow as the server 'wakes up'.

Please note this server will be deleted at the end of October (when Minefold go out of business) so its just a two week fleeting existential thing.

Also if the 1000 hours of player time gets used up I wont renew it.

Perhaps we should use it for a scheduled cave-raid or something?

Could do some kind of joint project? Maybe a big joint build. Or some kind of challenge. I dunno. anyway, I think Minecraft has nearly ran its course for watmm. THink only 3 of us play on the server now and its mega rare that someone is on.

The server is set to difficulty:hard and I was pottering about earlier and saw someone wandering around with gold armour on. I thought it was one of you guys and went over. But it was a Skeleton, in gold armour, and it proceeded to kick my ass.

I think i'd like to play a little again, if it's kosher. After my terrible administration work managing a server for a while i'm a bit ashamed.
Username is still 'hrvatski' if you want to add.. I'll stop by and help keep company.

To be honest, whenever i've tried to connect recently it hasnt worked

Minefold are going out of business so I guess they're not trying too hard to keep things running : (

You can try and connect if you want though - I've set it to public access so in theory anyone can log on

That said, I still have months worth of server credit on my host if anyone wants to try again.
If we want to keep it going I don't mind paying for it all. I think it came out to $10 a month anyway, which I didn't even notice coming out of my bank account.

If I do this again though, because i'm a lazy administrator, I want one of you guys to help keep order. I'll give you full access to control panel, FTP, etc.. Especially if you know more about server administration than I do!

Last time the server I ran got griefed and everyone's hard work went to shit. I actually took this personally and felt bad for a few weeks.
