I'm hoping that there isn't much more sanitizing that this though because frankly the weird random shit like Rambo's thread REALLY makes me laugh and is one of the highlights of the forum.

I don't know why you continue to think that i'm being sarcastic. Perhaps it's my use of those smiley faces or the emotive "heh", which to me only express that i'm happy, or find something amusing. They're certainly not expressions of ire, nor are they placed there in anger. You've probably been reading me the wrong way all these years. Injecting every post i make with a preconceived notion.

 

Whereas dude, i'm actually a pretty easy-going guy. Sure, a bit deadpan. But i don't on the whole desire any harm to come to anyone on here. Sure when an argument gets political i can be pretty colourful in my expression of disdain for this or that concept. But most of the time you are clearly reading my all wrong.

yea my feelings exactly. mist other music forums are dedicated to one band and that band is active. if it weren't for ae, the artist subforums could be argued useless to an extent. but I feel like there is a much more intelligent, witty and genuine crowd here without most of the bickering nonsense of other music forums.

you can have actual conversations here whether it's about the squelch at the 3:37 mark of an ae remix, nuclear meltdowns or interviewing a member. it's great in that sense but I don't think I should have a reaction to a gaarg post wondering if he got warned because he ms painted a guy pissing himself on a puppy.

In regards to the Nice Tits Thread, and the removing of nudity:

I think these threads were valuable to WATMM because we, as a community, could share our favorite tits, or asses, or fat tits. I don't give a shit about what someone on 4chan or another forum posts in regards to tits. But when you have several several like-minded people posting their favorite tits, you've found a masturbation goldmine. Fuck, I can't remember the last time I got off to a picture, but that thread made it happen.

The reason I have stuck around on this site is because of the community. If you want to increase site traffic, make BOC or Aphex Twin release a new album. They're the reason I joined this forum in the first place. People will join for the artists and stay for the tits community.

Since you can't make these artists release new material, you should create more featured artist subforums. Yea I know it's controversial for some reason. I'd love to discuss Merzbow for example. He has assloads of albums and keeps releasing new material. If you want profit, you're going to need to draw in more people.

In conclusion, get with the times, and put the old people in the LTM subforum.

I was having a nap while most of the posts in this thread were made, fuck. Nine pages (@ 25 per page). I'm so exhausted after reading it that I'm finding it hard to form a real opinion.

I suppose this is the beginning of a new direction for WATMM, whether better or for worse. I'd like to think that Joyrex knows what he's doing, so I'll just see how it goes. My opinion on the NSFW content previously on this site is kinda neutral. I almost never visited the Tit/Ass threads, and of NSFW content I have posted, I can only think of one image off the top of my head (a drawing I created, posted in Most Recent Artwork).

I spend a lot of time on these forums discussing music, and that is what the forum is about, no?

It's not really a new direction, more like a course correction after a massive uptick in nsfw content over the last couple years. Seriously, I know most of you haven't been around here since the 90s, but porn threads were never part of the landscape.

Also, it hasn't been mentioned yet, but virtually 100% of those pictures were copyright violations.
