I'm sorry. This shit is just too funny.

These goth muppets are suffering from an identity crisis. Why aren't they all in shorts like Lou? that would be proper lol.

I used to worship metallica, but that was like a long, long time ago.

Hopefully Aphex and BoC won't let me down in this phase of my life. I know I can rely upon Autechre.

One thing's for sure none of them are going to end up looking so ridiculous in photo's.

I can't really get into music based off of lyrics alone. They have to fit with the music at the very least, and this is about as awkward a mesh as there could ever be. It's entertaining for me because it's so ridiculous, but Reed's words are just never going to resonate with me in this context. If I read them without the music they'd have an entirely different effect I'm sure.

for me it works for me for some reason. on "pumping blood" for example, lyrics and music seem to compliment each other nicely. and "junior dad" is a powerful track.. i really like "brandenburg gate".. took a few listens tho

im not calling this album a masterpiece, but i find it refreshing in the sense that these guys came together and just said "fuck it, lets see what happens".. and as with any experiment, youre going to have some failures.. i can certainly see how people have such negative reactions to it (especially metallica fans) but i really do think its pretty successful in places, and at the very least its interesting to see such well known names throw caution to the wind like this.

Yeah, um sorry to say, but the admittedly lulzy lyrics do not make this good in any way.

And on the whole, I LIKE metallica (until RE-load)

there are some powerful lines on this album.

i'm not saying there isn't. but yeah, it's not enough for me personally.

good line

I really, REALLY want to hear an instrumental version of this album. The music is actually pretty awesome. Especially that track that is basically just one thrash riff with ambience over the top. It's almost like post-metal in parts.

Now that I've had a chance to listen to the whole album, I kinda agree. It's not nearly as terrible as I expected, though most of Reed's vocals annoy the fuck out of me (tbh though, I haven't really enjoyed anything I've heard from his back catalogue).

Lou Reed and Metallica have enlisted director Darren Aronofsky (“Black Swan“, “Requiem For A Dream“) to helm a music video for their collaborative track “Iced Honey“. The clip should begin airing in the coming weeks. “Lulu” on the other hand is unfortunately available in stores now.

They were on Jools Holland tonight, should be interesting to see...

"They're about guns, lasers, robots with laser guns in space. Monsters from the future. Explosions. Sylvester Stallone doing a backflip on top of a spike while Robocop carries a ghost up a mountain. Bombs and swords and that... IDM is awesome."

So metallica are the chairs then.

Not sure if i'd want to sit on Hetfield's lap.
