tried to make a Berry Smoothie, but ran out of juice and made something like a Fruit Roll-Up Chunky. Eating it with a spoon currently.

[planet of dinosaurs - the album [bc] [archive]]

Spent most of today working out a drum and bass arrangement for a song, and when I listened back at the end I realized that I totally ruined the vibe that made it cool in the first place. Back to square one...

yesterday some one in my apartment complex was playing RNC coverage at max volume as i was trying to read tobias smollett whilst listening to an asmus tietchens disc. some people have no respect.

The tea shop that sells my favorite tea is only open from 11am to 6pm and I'm always too early or too late, so I have to buy like 500g bags of the tea so I don't have to go there all the time.

Also, three letters: PHP.

I have yet to encounter it, but I don't doubt it. It does make sense if the professor is a leading authority in their field, and probably all the better that you're learning from such an authority.

but the gratuitous overpricing is across the board for textbooks! .... >.<

My sociology textbook was 180$!!!!!

Yeah, it's expensive, but a fucking ton of work goes into making textbooks!

Yeah you're right. But when you throw in the $700 or so a month tuition..... I'm just bitching cause it's a lot of money I could otherwise spend on beer. hehe

Yes that's true, but when they make a new edition with barely any changes and insist on that being required instead of older editions, that's fucking robbery.

Agreed! Prevents us from buying second hand books.

Also fairly wasteful when I think of it...

Well, hopefully I work my way up to becoming an editor so that doesn't happen so often :P

Everything is absurd! I've developed a fairly decent coping mechanism over the last year or so that is based on the realisation that everything in life is fucking ridiculous, and why should I take anything seriously?

I do this with the garage door.... even though I watched it close to the bottom, I still drive around the block and check to make sure I closed it properly... =/

every day that i've left for work from my new-ish apartment, i've checked the slightly-ajar bedroom window, the unplugged air conditioner, the locked balcony door, the bathroom light, and the fridge door being closed two or three times minimum before i can leave. then i check the front door lock twice.

no clue why.

Youtube allows me to upload a music video, then waits until after the upload has finished to instantly tell me that it is 'blocked worldwide' due to licensing ownership claims. Even more annoying is the fact that it's a creative commons-attributed work, and I have permission from the artist to use it (albeit the producer of the video, not the music artist).
