I hate mixing for TV. It always ends up sounding like shit.

I'm about ready to kill my wife's fucking cat... Fucking thing pissed on my jacket this morning, and I swear I smell some on the goddamn loveseat. And just about 15 minutes ago she hacks up a huge hairball right on the floor of the living room.

Also a guy broke into a lady's house right by where I live and attacked her with a machete at 7am.  Yikes.

My ex girlfriend contacting me suddenly. I am definitely not ready to be friends with this person yet.

So radio ads don't actually have to be overly compressed because the radio broadcasts don't do anything to the signal. But in order for radio commercials to pop out people compress the living shit out them. With tv commercials there's a difference because of the ITU and EBU standards that dictate how loud your audio track can be over a specific amount of time. So if your track is super compressed the end result will actually get quieter whereas if you let the audio track be a bit more dynamic the peaks in the quiet audio track will actually surpass the peaks in the compressed audio track.

I probably explained this in the worst possible way. But since everyone is compressing the living shit out of their commercials you simply have to do the same otherwise your commercial will end up sounding weird in comparison.

Bluray burner arrived two days ago. Disks to burn with it will take another week. :----<

FWP: landlord came over with an electrician like he promised - i'm getting new service, double the current amperage, new outlets/wiring, MORE outlets upstairs (can actually move my pc/studio up there finally), power to the garage, and room-by-room in-wall heaters. that all sounded pretty good (glad I spent all those late drunken nights reading landlord/tenant laws in my state I guess), but I realized that a bunch of in-wall electric heaters are still gonna blow up my bill if I don't get this place weather-tight. i've got almost all old single-pane wood windows right now, drafty doors, etc... i mean at least I'll have a heat source, but it's still gonna cost me. and i dont know if the LL will spring for new windows. or if I have the legal right to a draft-free home. I doubt it. it never ends. *scoots away*

When I was in college, I bought some window covers that kept the draft out. They're just translucent plastic with some adhesive on the side. You can get some cellophane and gaf tape them over your windows.

The downside is that you need to keep them on until the weather warms up.

this is some kind of edm/shit tier hip hop festival with major lazer and some trap rap garbage that a bunch of instagram girls were paid to go to and i guess a number of people got conned into purchasing weekend passes for it, at nearly 3000 dollars a pop. turns out it's in tents, the "exclusive" flights are economy class with a bag of chips thrown on the seat, the deluxe accommodations are slightly upgraded fema camp level, the private island is actually a public island. pretty lol. like an edm altamont.
