Figured I'd wait a day before I bought it so they would have time to get their servers under control. Had heard reports it was getting better.

Got to play for 15 min., then I stopped doing damage, then it booted me. Error 37 ever since.

When you ship a game it's usually time to relax, high five, get some sleep. Can you imagine what it's like at Blizzard right now? The stress there at the moment must be something akin to a nightmare...

Why did they take out the pets that pick up gold for you? I really like what they did with pets in Torchlight 2. You can hand items to your pet and it goes to town to sell them for you.

Yes when you can play. I got up at 5am this morning to get a quest or two done before, and surprise surprise - servier maintaince from 5am-7am. I'll be at work....

Seriously, someone at Blizzards needs to get fired over this shit.

i would be more stoked if there was an offline mode for this. having to authenticate the blizzard every time i want to play a game single player.

this is from a long time wow player, i've just had enough of this server bullshit. if you're playing alone, there's no reason you should need to talk to blizz. and anyone who has played wow knows that d3 will be a cluster for at least the 1st month server-wise

It's funny that pirates have been playing without issue while paying customers are fucked.

2nd edit: I'm waiting to buy the game til after I get moved, but a co-worker just gave me a guest pass (she got 3 for buying the game) so I'll probably install that this weekend and play through Act 1 since I didn't get to complete it during the open beta.

D3 cannot be cracked or hacked in the traditional sense, most of the game is server side. What the fuck are you on about?

From what i was reading there are some kind of remote installation files on their servers as well

just reached act 3 and still haven't died even once. sure, it's on normal, but on the last boss of act 2 i just stood there hitting him until he died, and i looked at my health and it barely went down at all, and when it did i had my templar there to heal me.

i think the combination of cheap rare/legendary items in the auction house and the lack of difficulty on normal sorta ruins things a bit. still having tons of fun though.

pretty brainless, just click like a spaz on everything. Still i think its pretty fun and adictive

Just finished Act 1... Shit just got real!

I love how they fit more cinematics and lore into the game this time around, really sucks you into the story and mythology more than the first 2 did. Girlfriend and I are sharing an account so I gotta wait for her to catch up before I move further into Act 2. I'm playing as a witch doctor I named "AriseChicken", finding it to be a pretty fun class so far. I died only once so far, fighting The Butcher, but I didn't prepare well for it on the first attempt and didn't have very good spells selected, switched some back over the 2nd time and rocked it.

Speaking about clicking like a spaz, did you notice you could cold down left shift and left button and you will stand still and spam? I noticed this was helpful for my Monk who hits faster then I can click, but also has a convienant teleport to enemy attack.

what happens when you die anyway? do you lose all your stuff/gold? do you have to restart the entire quest? what?

i just got one question, now how the fuck can my witchdoctor swing his melee weapons?? been playing for 2 days and haven't found this out! Don't tell me he is supposed to walk around with a weapon in his hands the whole game without having to use it

Just about to finish Act 1 on nightmare as a Wizard, co-oping with a Monk which seems to make a good team. He tanks while I sit back and call meteors/shoot beams/run away. We played through normal and thought; is this it? Once we started started nightmare the game became a lot more dynamic, and our skill decisions started playing an important role.

Pro-tip because I just found it out; holding control and hovering over dropped items shows their stats (instead of picking them up - dropping them).

That's the smart thing to do, it's what I should have done. I used to buff my vital stats for extra damage; completely unnecessary. I also picked up every piece of gold I could find, but once you hit nightmare you realize how much time you wasted running to pick up 10 pieces of gold when monsters start dropping 200 at a time.

I'm so jealous (read: hateful) of all you guys that can run this! It'll be at least another month before I can finally order a new PC to run this beast!

This is my biggest complaint from what I've seen so far. No XP loss from dying? Even in the toughest difficulty?! C'mon Blizzard I know you don't want to make it that easy!
