Leila Leila - U&I

First single from the album out now. Liking the tracks on the B side..

I was first disappointed by this track but now it give me the thrills. I loved the previous album, it had probably some weaker moments but some other were simply genius. One of the best thing I've discovered the past four years I think

According to the samples + the Disappointed Clouds track, it sounds harsher than the previous album. Like you can see the stitching even more. I like that.

I hope the tracks will be well mixed though, I found that some tracks sounded a little bit too messy on Blood, Looms, and Blooms. Mettle is a good example. It's a wonderful track but it definitely deserves a better mix.

Am I the only one liking this? Boudica and Eight are great! Too bad the album suffers from some sort of mood dysfunction as it can be extremely harsh sounding and industrial, and then all ambient and playful - hum, and all of a sudden that doesn't sound wrong, at all.

i need to hear this.

Wasn't Blood, Looms, and Blooms quite like that as well? It had songs like Time to Blow mixed with Little Acorns. That's a great album.

oh man, this^

i listened to this earlier, and it was a mixed bag for me. i absolutely adore the style of tracks with singing + ridiculous editing, but the ambient cuts feel totally out of place. it could be awesome, but the flow seems horrible.

i think i'm going to have to custom playlist this one (sorry purists!).

I really like: Welcome to Your Life, Anyway, Boudica, In Motion Slow, Colony Collapse Disorder and U&I. The rest are ones I don't remember at all, except All of This, and it was okay. The ones that I do like, I like a lot though.
