It takes balls to be a decent human being and risk hurting people to be true to yourself and to them. Basically, it takes balls to be an adult, regardless of your physical age. You've passed something like a maturity gom jabbar that few ever manage.

Real trans folk, obviously, are also pretty far from the sexualized porn industry imagining of trans people as chix with dix or whatnot. So while "faggot" is a nasty slur, "she-male" is a nasty and hugely objectifying slur: it's associated with, basically, niche fantasy sex workers, some of whom are pretty fucking abused. The MtF womenfolk I know would be mortified to the point of offing themselves to be characterized by an unwanted body part.

At the same time, there are some trans folk who don't mind and who self-identify as part of that weird sexual fantasy. It takes all kinds, I guess. The MtF girl I dated probably would have called them gay men with tits, though. But, yeah, sorry.

I'm not anti-Christian, but I am anti-zealot. All that wasted energy on dead babies and building Mexican churches would be better directed at studies for Alzheimer's research. So what if the minority of the population is gay? They only feel the need and desire to change because it's been indoctrinated into their thinking by the same people trying to convince them to change. I know a gay guy that grew up in a religious home, and he used to pray that god would "heal" him. It's almost sicker to think he did this to himself rather than surrounding himself with people appealing in prayer on his behalf. Religion has done nothing to help me and everything to confuse me. I find it useless in this matter.
