Oh man I had to review this new Korn album for a publication. I feel measurably more stupid after having done so. If you listened to the whole thing in one go I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be able to tie your own shoelaces by the end of it.

The place where I buy my CDs has Rammstein on the electronica shelf, with Moby and the Prodigy. I wonder where they'll put this album

Black metal is bleak and rough but don't call it heavy.

Rammstein are electronica.Don't they have a keyboard guy that has played 20 seconds worth of synth in their 20 years trajectory?

Just like the sampler/keyboards guy from Slipknot. Those guys are living the dream

I saw DJ Kilmore from incubus doing a solo thing in 2004 and it blew my mind, dude was underused in a band that went from hit to miss with me,

Lol there were people in slipknot who just ran around stage hurting themselves and amping up 14 year old mid-west kids to buy more from hot topic from what I've seen of their live shows. its like the dude in Lincoln park, he played like one part of the song then just stood there live.

Someone please stop Korn, please. I was happier when they just weren't making music anymore. I see dark times on the horizon.

can you post your review or link to it?

Hey Jules, I prefer relative anonymity on messageboards so I don't really post/link stuff I've done. Sorry! I didn't get to go into any detail 'cause the word-limit was ridiculous - so you aren't missing any top-level analysis

It's usually not very satisfying trashing a band you grew up with but Korn are so far gone at this point that I feel no remorse.

Metal was never popular like dubstep is. It still isn't.

How old are you? 15? 16?

Ugh...Yea... There was this thing called the 80's... And these people called "Headbangers"...

Strange but true...

  • 2 weeks later...

I don't think i've ever heard any dubstep.

You shouldn't be ashamed if you like it. Fuck what everyone else thinks.

Oh, I proudly love Britney Spears, Gaga, Slipknot, etc. This is gratifying but it's so cheesy I know I'll be sick of it in 2 minutes.

Of course, I could be wrong. In which case, thanks for the inspiration :flower:
