He said: "We were dubstep before there was dubstep. Tempos at 140 with half-time drums, huge bassed-out riffs. We used to bring out 120 subwoofers and line them across the whole front of the stage, 60 subs per side. We were all about the bass."

The last time Korn was relevant was when kernels of it turned up mysteriously in my poo.

Edit: to be fair, that was like 10 minutes ago

This sounds like it's trying way too fucking hard to fit in with what dubstep is already seen as.

Fuck this, I want more Boxcutter.

The tracks are not awful , they're just dull and forgettable.

I didn't know Noisia produced a few tracks . Noisia is great , but most their collabs are underwhelming . This ''new'' Korn stuff just sounds like a universe of mediocrity and lolz *The child in me is crying*

I've seen a couple of club nights advertising it, not sure i'd like to know what it was.

Essines has, and always will remind me of MacReady.

This is beyond weird, anyone remember when korn did a song with lil john and others bout 5 years back.

I have grim hopes for the future, but that started long before hearing this.

I have grown to like Skrillex well enough...

that Kornstep song is one of the worst pieces of shit I've ever heard

Mick Harris needs to come down and knock the dick out of whoever's mouth said that thing about being dubstep before dubstep, etc

Korn is in no genre worth mentioning. He shit talks metal, which he obviously has a real disconnect with, and gives props to dubstep, calling it new and innovative and speaking like it's the saviour of electronic music. Right there in those two sentiments he massively assaults my favorite genres of music. His band, at it's prime, was classified as nu-metal, one of the worst genre tags to be given to any type of music. this and what he has said recently shows that he really has no idea what music is and i am mystified as to how he managed to get any amount of music commercially released. The fact the skrillex and those others decided to help produce music for korn shows how fucking clueless they are. This entire set is a tragedy starting from before any of this nu metal shit even began.

Epic fucking fail.

your opinions mean nothing to me, i used to fucking love the first 4 korn albums, and still occasionally have a bit of a listen. proper metal bores the shit out of me, all i hear is tuneless, bland screaming.

im not even gonna bother listening to this new korn dubstep though.

yeah fuck cry me a river dubstep korn, i prefer the i'm a sad panda emo-nu metal hiphop korn on the previous 4 albums!

and proper metal isn't tuneless or bland screaming, you just have a boring musical taste
