By the way, from what I can make out from the Something Special email sent out about this, Parts 1 & 2 (Chrysanthe & Violetta) total six tracks. That makes this really quite expensive, but by the looks of things A LOT of effort has gone into the packaging of this release.

I can't get excited about this kind of thing anymore. I need something more musical and less "organized sound". Pretty packages alone aren't doing it.

Cool- wasn't expecting anymore Demdike this year. I hope they do a download of the vinyl version, The pack does look lovely, but can't strech to getting that at the moment.

And also that desciption as an evil Orb does sum them up pretty well!

Yep it's very beautiful. Even more beautiful than the rest of the Demdike Stare artwork which is very beautiful as well. Would love to have them all as posters. Would probably even pay a little bit money for it.

It seems the CD will have different tracklisting and versions, and hidden locked grooves on the vinyl. Looks shit-hot of course too. I want this hard.

Yeah, Votel has really gone to town with the artwork for the series. Different images on every panel of the quad-gatefold sleeve and all the inner sleeves too. Wouldn't be surprised if the 2xCD package has different artwork again, given that it's set to feature different versions of the tracks. I thought the 3xCD 'Tryptych' package was lavish, but Modern Love have excelled themselves with this. :)

obviously not long enough. although i'd equate it to the purchase price of analord 10 + binder (whatever stupid amount of money that was).

i'm just not big enough of a fan yet of this band to validate spending this much on a special packaging release. I mean i could understand on one hand trying to fetishize and make your releases collectable early on to set a botiqueish pattern for the future but on one hand i feel like it's too soon for a band of their stature to be putting out such exclusive deluxe pricey packages
