How do we know what's Aphex and what isn't? He has like 16 brains or something, he could even be helping a load of people with their tracks as a mix/mastering engineer..

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

Imagine music in 100 years. Yeah I just blew everyone's mind.

Whoever does that and makes that music now will be a pioneer for sure. And grossly ignored and unheralded for being 100 years ahead of their time.

i think something as good can be released, but it won't be the same, drukqs is its own thing. ziggomatic 17 :aphexsign:

agreed- drukqs is definitely magical.. there's something in between all that mangled metallic machinery twisting and turning, from the hectic electro/idm/dnb choas to the slow meditative passes, the whole album draws from some kind of consistent texture through out.. it's highly conceptual and thematic, yet also very eclectic and non-contained. I think it was a masterpiece, and those kinds of things don't come by very often, but ya never know. (:

DrukQs is someone's brain captured in musical form and spoken aloud by a genetically engineered albino aboriginal kangaroo in 3 different languages at once. An unprecedented spellbinding tour de force of epic proportions in 3D.

drukqs is so good that Richard knows he can't top it, thats why he is scared to release another album. He knows he can't go much beyond there, and whatever he releases will not blow any minds anymore. I could live off music on that quality. It's like im only limited to that album (and the tuss and steinvord tracks) to enjoy that kind of music. Literally no one else can come up with stuff like that that's good enough. Most music sounds pretty boring when you compare it to these amazing tracks. I also miss early 2000's squarepusher.

*pulls out drukqs to listen to today*

*says "hmm, it's quite a fine friday for some drukqs listenage"*

*there are certain days, Fridays are usually the best for them, where having one or two Aphex releases cued up for the entire day of soaking into in between various tasks and events, make for a very unique type of relaxed serenity. I think today is one of them. And Drukqs will be the focus. Possibly also I Care b/c You Do*
