I posted on here a lot more a year or so ago but noticed the smug manner in which words like fag/queer/geigh was thrown around, maybe not homophobia per say but when kid's are still killing themselves and parents still trying to counsel, pray or beat the gay out of their children, and when kids are still killing themselves, I don't find any of it fun.

Hi fella. That juvenile shit is frustrating but a lot of the people here are pretty sound types. There's a fair few other lbtq types too. I have no idea who this kid is but he's clearly way out of his depth. Poor boy.

Frankly I don't understand why anyone would want kids. But if we're going to restrict people's rights to raise children there are far better places to start. Portugal and the rest of the Mediterranean, for example. They have produced nothing of any cultural value since the birth of Christ. At least the gays have Stephin Merritt.

Anyway, I'm leaving again, watmm. You're not bad but you're still full of dolts.

again, i don't really hate skrillex as much as i hate the people that think that sort of music has any sort of integrity. i try to be open minded, and a lot of the time i employ a "well, each to his/her own" attitude towards personal preferences such as music taste and who knows, maybe it is original in its own way, sorta like a drawing by an autistic kid.

Such an ignorant thing to throw out of your mouth, and even in the wrong thread. But i am not even interested in knowing the reasons behind your opinion. I actually had a good impression of you, but this is the internet anyway

It's about treating what is diferent, diferently.

Still wrong.

No. It's called positive discrimination. It's used to lower inequalities, one example of that is the unemployment allowance.

I don't know what the fuck you're talking about now, but let me help:

e·qual·i·ty

the state or quality of being equal; correspondence in quantity, degree, value, rank, or ability.

Hum do some research and step down of that arrogant attitude, yes?

What exactly do I need to research? I was pointing out that your original statement:

'Equality isn't about treating everyone the same way.'

Is completely wrong, no?

Yes, lets just head this discussion towards geographical/cultural terms. I am sure it would be absolutely enriching

edit: if there is one thing good about this discussion is that reveals the trash inside any one of us, or the opposite

Feeling the need to chime in here. I'm a gay Irish man living in NYC with my partner of seven years (we met playing rugby with The Gotham Knights, a gay inclusive team out of Manhattan).

In response to whoever is slamming the idea of gay adoption: I am lucky enough to know a few gay couples who have either adopted children or are fostering children. What they are doing is offering their children is a safe, loving and supportive environment, something new to many foster kids. These kids are in great hands and already growing up into cool, shape and kind little individuals. The idea that I would make a bad parent because of my homosexuality - though still quite a common point of argument - is absurd and offensive and more importantly just an ignorant out dated concept that stems from the misconception that gay people = pedophiles. Fuck off.

I was surprised at how moved I've been over the past few days. Watching North Carolina vote against their basic human rights (both for gays and straights) in a Jim Jones mass hysteria fashion was heart breaking and bewildering, and when President Obama stepped forward and said what he said, well I cried for the first time in a long time. People move on, we need more love in the world, truly. It's hard enough to put your best foot forward everyday and keep your heart open without this prejudiced bullshit. There is nothing that boils my blood more than when somebody tries to tell me Gay is a choice, I have come to the understanding that most people who truly believe this are deeply closeted, and are confusing their choice to stay in the closet with the real heart of the matter, that I am gay, I was born gay and it's actually fucking great.

As an interesting aside Christianity actually celebrated same sex marriage in the past. No that it matters as they're a bunch of sick weakeners, but it's something that nobody ever mentions:

It's pretty simple. If gays are hot, like Neil Patrick Harris and Tom Hardy, then by all means, have at it. But if they're a couple of hairy bull dykes that have fewer curves than a slab of beef, then...

Someone needs to research if lesbianism causes a woman's beauty gland to atrophy. It's very egg-chickeny: is Rosie O'Donnell gay because she's Rosie, or Rosie because she's gay?

(kill me now disparaissant)

All the lesbians I've ever been lesbro to have been rather extremely attractive. Also you know you got a boner watching Exit to Eden, so don't even go there.

Rui, I think everyone just trolls Portugal because it makes Kanakori flip out, and he's so quick to troll re: other countries. Portugal, and you, are fine and upstanding countries/people.
