I haven't read the whole thread, but I think a lot of people are underestimating the number of fag-hating potential obama voters. I'm worried this could seriously hurt him in the election.

I got accused by a friend of 'moving the goal posts' when i immediately started talking about how orchestrated and preplanned this ABC news announcement was as a 2012 election ploy. Apparently my contempt for Obama is so huge that even when he 'does something great' i wont be happy. What are you gonna do..

it's ok since he didn't do anything great. he still explicitly supports the right of states to discriminate against homosexuals.

Is Obama saying this because he wants to win the liberal vote he lost? i think so. Don't trust politician, specially when they are trying to win elections.

edit: i really didn't answer T IS MJ. the question is: we can't really tell if kids living with gay parents turning gay would be a natural (?) thing. people are shaped by everything, environment, people, tv, insects, clouds, garbage, blood, whatever, but a kid living with hetero parents could turn gay just as a kid with gay parents can. that's really not the way we should be heading.

What I'm most interested in is this, is where do people who need a "cause" go from here? I mean the right to gay marriage is pretty wimpy cause when compared to civil rights, vietnam war, etc. Probably something to do with "genomies" mixing with "normals" or something. Once we're able to genetically modify ourselves, I foresee some sort of stink about the genetically modified people having the right to interbreed with non-genetically-modifed people...
