Nah, just the gumbo. I just was lazy and this thread is about food. Gumbo was ace. If there was a way to mail this stuff, I would have you try it so you can feel the glory.

i used to actually eat those tinned hamburgers when i was a kid...they were quite normal in the 80s in the UK...you'd have them with mashed potatoes and peas. you can still get them i think but i don't imagine they are popular anymore.

Didn't that company also make pudding pies? I remember a colleague of mine that was talking about having them when he was younger and they were actually quite nice (pudding pies). Can't find them anymore though, Fray Bentos lives on instead.

indeed they did... steak and kidney and meat and gravy puddings...they were pretty rank but i think back in the day people thought they were alright...
