ughhh. overwatch is so good.

still playing quickmatches and levelling my way up. still learning it proper and getting used to all the characters and whatnot.

they made playing as tank/healer builds so much fun. finding the more i'm playing it the more i'm getting a bit relaxed in how the gameflow works and falling into more and more ridiculous silly situations.

as much as the game seems to rely on diverse teams working together to get the better hand,... managed to have a couple rounds other day with team consisting entirely of the Symmetra character ... and we absolutely obliterated the other team. very good defense team because everyone is just running around popping turrets everywhere, which creates ample distraction to the other team, while you have a team of 6 symmetras running around doing melee damage. on top of that, her special is to create a little teleport bubble from one point to another. every time i died there was a good 6 teleport bubbles already waiting at the spawn point waiting for me ^-^!!!

ugh. i could go on and keep relaying some of my favourite moments.. but i won't. that would probably be a bad idea.
i will say... that i'm loving the game a great deal. and the infectious addicting quality to the game has managed to worm its way into my brain a bit.

PC, PS4 or XBONE?

This pretty much sums it up, watched a mate play it for over an hour and it was boring.

This is pretty damn accurate, and fair... I picked it up and have been trying to enjoy it for a week but I'm about done with this shit. Between the repetitive nature, and the constant crashes on the ps4 it's already killed any incentive to play that I had. I've heard Sony is being pretty lenient about giving refunds on digital purchases with this one, I think I'm going to attempt to call and get one...

Looking forward to giving Titanfall 2 a try in October, never got to play 1 being a PS4 owner, and I'm a sucker for anything robot or mech-related.

Yeah, I'm leaning away from No Man's Sky after reading the pretty damning Kotaku review, plus all the reviews/comments from players on the repetitiveness.

Open beta this weekend (I think)! Though not on PC. Looks like so much fun though. Edited by Friendly Foil

might try this out with some vidjabuds who are purely cod bros

The consensus seems to be that its crap mr data.

It looks really nice to me though, might try it soon.

Are you finding it repetitive? What do you actually "do" in the game? Just explore?

Nah, you're a wee child who can't wait for official release. Embarrassing. Shove your privilege.

there's not much to do other than gather resources in order to upgrade your ship which lets you explore more, which is what i do. i love exploring in this game. it seems a lot of people complain about how they played it for 2 hours and everything looks the same. 2 hours isn't enough to upgrade your warp drive to tier 5 and reach the most distant star systems.

everyone starts out in a yellow system, and if you just book it to the center without exploring or going off the beaten path, it's all just yellow systems, which look more or less the same. you can't even reach the other 8 system types without upgrading the warp drive.

but yeah, it's still just exploring. some (most?) people seem to find that tedious as fuck, i love it. i keep coming across weird and wonky places.

I'm glad you're enjoying it! I think I'll check it out also. A lot of the open world rpgs etc, some of my favorite things are just exploring so I think I might enjoy NMS.

Those look amazing.

Regardless of what people say I'm gonna buy it when it either comes out for Xbox or when I buy a PS4.5

If you want a physical copy of REZ Infinite, I'd recommend registering for an 8bit account ahead of time, they go on sale at 9am PST today, along with the rest of the merchandise, and as word is spreading across social media and game blogs, this run might sell out quickly.

Positive Metal Attitude

enjoying Legend of the Skyfish, a good mix of 2D Zelda, and the fishing mechanic from Pokemon. Cross platform on iOS, so I'm playing on iPhone and Apple TV.

If you haven't played Steven Universe: Attack the Light, that's another great cross platform RPG on mobile

Wow... could they have copied Wind Waker and A Link to the Past any more?

Regarding Kotaku, I believe Univision bought up Kotaku and a few of the other Gawker sibling websites, so they will continue to be running.

Stoked to watch OA II. The movement thing never bothered me, anyone familiar with Druidic studies will recognize the importance of movement to get to higher planes.

lolz, even the music.

So this presentation was quite extraordinary. Haven't been that impressed by a video game demo in years. Looks amazing and I want to believe.. but I've been hurt before.

Pretty good timing considering the dust from No Man Sky's albatross landing still hasn't settled yet...
